Very good book

Love the case studies and good narration. Some chapters are slightly repetitive but overall very interesting. Recommended!

Gut check for yourself

Step up and become yourself and take care of yourself so you can be the differentiated person you need to be for the relationship. This book digs into what you have to be willing to do before you could ever truly get benefit from all the typical “wounded child in an adult body” or “communication” dogma in today’s counseling vernacular.

Recommended if you want the deeper dive

I listened to “Secrets of a Passionate Marriage” first, and recommend others do as well.

This book (“Passionate Marriage”) goes over the same material in a much deeper way. Some concepts made much more sense to me in the expanded version, because I had already gotten a summarized overview by starting out with the shortened version.
