I loved this story. It felt like a real world experience in a flawed world

Predictable story but still entertaining

I liked the characters in this book a lot they were very endearing. I was curious to see how she was going to turn the beginning into a romance. Once they settled in one spot though the plot became formulaic and very predictable. Enter one bad guy, conflict happens they overcome, happily ever after.

Could not put this book down, I wish there had been a continuation. Highly recommend

Great Story and a fun listen

It takes genuine talent to make an end of the world novel fun and lighthearted. Don't get me wrong, there are serious moments in the book, but overall you finish the book with a light, happy feeling. I also appreciate having the man in the story be the person who falls in love first and isn't afraid to be honest about his feelings.

I love the world Kylie created and find myself thinking that I wouldn't mind the end of the world if I ended up with the people in this story. I am hopeful that there will be additional books because I want to not only return to the town and find out how it has grown, I want to know how the other inhabitants fare.

The narrator Andi Arndt does an excellent job of conveying the sarcasm and wit of the main character. Her character voices are so good that you almost forget it is just one person acting out all of the parts. Even though I had already read the book, I found that I wanted to continue to listen to the story. I also like that there is the read and listen option so that if I am standing in line at the store I can pull out my kindle app and continue reading the story until I can get back in my car and listen again.
