New York Times #1 best-selling authors Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro collaborate again on a new adventure in which Nico di Angelo teams up with his half-sister Hazel Levesque to protect . . . monsters?

Nico di Angelo is feeling antsy. It’s been almost three months since he and his boyfriend, Will Solace, returned to Camp Half-Blood from their journey to Tartarus, and there hasn’t been a demigod quest or a conflict with monsters in all that time. So, when Nico's half-sister, Hazel Levesque, asks him and Will to join her at Camp Jupiter on the West Coast, he shadow-jumps at the chance to get away and do something. In her Iris-message, Hazel had said that she needed the boys’ help with an “issue” with some “new guests.” What she didn’t say was that she’s providing a haven for a group of monsters who escaped the Underworld!

Apparently, the self-proclaimed “mythics” learned from Nico and Will themselves that they have options and don’t have to be evil. But their integration into the Roman demigod camp isn’t exactly going smoothly. As Nico and Will endeavor to build bridges between the refugees and the demigod campers, the mythics start disappearing from camp, one by one. A mysterious dark force is at work, and its plan is to punish all monsters for their past crimes. Things only get worse when Hazel learns that she is closely connected to that force . . .

In this brilliantly inventive and laugh-filled adventure, the best-selling team of Rick Riordan and Mark Oshiro manipulate the Mist to make listeners see things in a whole new light.

Story was great, Nico & Will stories are a return to Riordan at the top of his writing game… Percy’s Senior Year stories are a little nostalgic of the old Percy Jackson and the Olympians era, but they hit a little different in how they don’t really progress the narrative past the current status quo 🤷🏻‍♂️

The split narrators are a little off putting since this is the first time they’ve ever done that despite the single narrator being the standard throughout the Heroes of Olympus series and the Trials of Apollo books 😵‍💫

I’m sure I’ll warm up to it if they continue with the novelty of gender assigned narrators, but it’s weird to hear Hazel in a separate voice whether or not it’s a POV chapter or not 🤦🏻‍♂️

Great Follow-Up to Sun and Stars

This book does have a very slow start the first 12 chapters are kind of slow. But after those 12 chapters, this book picks up this book is so good. I love every single character from Hazel Nico to Will every single character is amazing in this book. I love the growth that Hazel and Nico have it is by far one of the most beautiful things I’ve read in a long time. if you would’ve told me, this is the same Nico at the end of heroes of Olympus? I would not believe you great continuation if not conclusion.

Great continuation

I loved this book as I have every other one. My only complaint is I don’t like different narrators.

Great book!

I love the continuous expansion of the Percy Jackson world and how even though the series hass transitioned beyond Percy I don’t feel like I’d rather be reading a Percy story. Great character development for Nico. Great example of trauma healing

Another Banger!
