Corwin Sanhover could almost convince himself that the night six years ago didn't happen. But when Nigel St. James is traded to South Carolina, it becomes a lot harder to keep their history in the past.

Nigel St. James can't imagine a team he'd like to play for less than South Carolina, and he knows Corwin probably feels the same. But when things between them become friendly, it's clear that they both still want each other now, just as they did back then.

Is it possible to start fresh and build a relationship, or are some things—and people—better left in the past?

I loved their story when I read it in ebook form, but hearing Liam and Iggy narrate made it a whole new experience. I couldn’t fight the grin as Liam spoke his final words. I love this series. JJ Mulder is phenomenal at crafting a universe and the characters who live in it. You have to experience it for yourself. I highly recommend it. Corwin is such a central character in this series and it was great to see him get his happy ever after, too.

Kept Me Grinning the Whole Way Through

This book had a an engrossing storyline. The two main characters (Corwin aka Cor) and (Nigel) were very endearing and their lovestory grasped my attention from the onset. The other characters (Anthony, Troy, and Sam), just like in the first book, were pretty awesome, supportive, and loving.

Once Cor and Nigel worked through their miscommunication that stemmed from an interaction six years prior, which greatly affected them both in very different ways, it was great to read as their lovestory unfolded. Their dynamic was undeniable and they shared a sincere reverence for one another. Their chemistry was palpable as they explored their emotional and physical attraction to each other. Even though they did not immediately engage in full blown sexual acts or overt PDA, the slow progression of their intimacy felt very sensual, in my opinion. Their overall interactions, romantic or otherwise, were very HOT 🔥, which led to some spicy moments. 🌶

I appreciated how Cor and Nigel found how to best communicate and express themselves (verbally and nonverbally) to one another. I also appreciated their vulnerability, trust, and support, with and for one another. Through their openness, deep abiding affection, and love for each other they found their way to their own happiness together.

I sincerely rooted for Cor's and Nigel's Happily Ever After (HEA), and it gave me "all the feels" when it finally came to frution. While I do wish that the storyline did not seem to end so abruptly and that the French accent attempted by Liam DiCosimo was not so off-putting, I enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend it.

I read/listened to the first book in the series and enjoyed it so I ordered this one . loved the story but the narration was very troubled. Not sure which narrator it was but the accent was inconsistent and and not really French Canadian and not all words were accented. The story helped me overlook this irritation.

Quite a love story

The attempt to speak in an Irish accent was terrible! I love the voice actors and have listened to many books with them together. But man, that accent wasn’t even close Irish. At times it sounded like a French South African with an occasional Jamaican accent. It was very distracting throughout the whole story. I get wanting to get into character but you got to be able to pull off an accurate accent.

Great story. But….
