Such a delightful story

Love how full and complex this world and characters are. This was one of my favorite books from last year so it was wonderful to get to listen to the audiobook.

Moving and beautiful

Priestess may fall under the fantasy genre, but it reads with the richness and depth of true literature. Kara’s prose is exquisite—lush, intentional, and immersive in a way that makes the world feel both mythic and deeply human.

Yes, there is a romance woven through the story, and it’s beautifully done. But for me, the most powerful love story in this book is the one between the women. Their friendships—complex, evolving, and fiercely tender—are the beating heart of the narrative. The way Kara captures the growth, vulnerability, and unshakable strength that emerges between these women makes Priestess feel not just like a fantasy novel, but a celebration of feminine connection.

This is the kind of book that stays with you long after you’ve turned the last page. Stunning writing, unforgettable characters, and a story rooted in the magic of female friendship. I’m so proud of Kara, and so grateful to have experienced the world she created.

What a refreshing delight of a story

I loved the yearning, the wisdom of the characters, and the mature mmc and fmc. Beautifully written!

soooo good!

I'm such a huge fan on this story. Ive read the book several times but hearing it tickles my brain in a whole new way! The voice actor brought the characters to life much better than my inner reading monologue. This is such a beautiful story of romance and personal growth and friendship. I'll never see the color yellow without thinking of this book again (if you know, you know). Buy it it and love it!
