Never disappointing ! Another dark fairytale Pepper leaves us in awe

A huge fan of Pepper Winters and this book 1 leaves you cringing for the next book! I love how she sets up Lucien and Rouke’s history and plunge both of them into a world of dark, possessive and cruel world! Major cliff hanger !

Pepper Winters never disappoints!

Loved everything. Waiting for book 3 on audible….ahhhhh. Peppers mind and stories are some of the best I’ve ever read and I’ll always be a fan- this story is included! Enjoy the journey.

Cannot wait for the next book on audio to come out. Both narrators were great and fit the mmc and mfc. perfectly.

My Pepper Winters does it AGAIN. I absolutely devoured the audiobook. Her writing style and plots never fail to blow my mind, she has this unique way of pulling you in and making you fall in love with everything she creates.

Darkest Destiny completely rocked my world. I couldn’t stop listening.

And let’s talk about the narration because… 🤌🏻
Noah Trent & Alexa Borys NAILED IT. They brought these characters to life in the most chilling, immersive way.
Our MMC, Lucien, needed a very specific voice and Noah Trent fit him to perfection.
Our FMC, Rook (obsessed with that name), was performed by Alexa Borys, and the way her voice trembled during moments of fear? Absolutely incredible. It gave me chills.
Both narrators delivered in every possible way.
Bravo. 👏🏻👏🏻

As for the storyline, it had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Talk about intense romantic suspense! The slow-burn build between Rook and Lucien was insane, the secrets, the science, the reasoning behind everything… it had my mind spiraling in the best way. I was absolutely feral waiting for those moments to crack open.

And then there’s Whisper, the silent, lethal protector. A massive black panther who kills without hesitation yet fiercely protects both the FMC and MMC. Whisper wasn’t just a side character; they were a presence. Powerful, loyal, terrifying, and oddly comforting all at once. I was obsessed.

Yes, it ends on a cliffhanger. Yes, the slow burn is slow. But really is it? The build up makes up of for if you ask me. Trust the process Pepper always delivers. I know when the next installment drops, she’s going to give us everything we’ve been craving and then some. I can't wait to watch them burn!!!!

My feelings about the book while listening were like waves in the ocean. Sometimes I liked it, sometimes I didn’t, sometimes it was just okay, and other times I found myself wanting more. Will I listen to Book 2 when it comes out? Most likely.
