The end is nigh.

For months, Arcangelo has evaded capture in World of Chains. He's outwitted his real-life adversaries at every turn, made them look like fumbling amateurs, and built a foundation to protect himself and his found family.

But the web is tightening. From every direction, hunters are closing in. For now, it's only whispers. Shadows at the edge of the Dawnlight Forest. Yet even as Arcangelo forges alliances and strengthens his defenses, the threat never sleeps.

A reckoning is coming. Not a battle—a war. One that will reshape the very surface of Aeion, corner Arcangelo in his den, and drag him screaming to his own personal hell.

Can he and his allies stand against the coming tide? Or will they drown in a sea of blood and fire?

Initially I was at a loss, hey what this? A slice-of-life of life... huh that's not what I remembered and soooooooo much politicking, yuck. I even double checked my inventory to see if I missed something... I had not! But yeah eventually things got on track as Arcangelo and his team leveled up and made allies.
Even Soundbooth Theater let me down a bit as there wasn't as much of the fantastic violin, but when it was there it threaded in beautifully to the narrative!

Here's a quote:

"What? This is still Grant’s Crossing. You can kill us, invade us, put us to the torch—whatever you want. But if you think we’re marching to our end without getting drunk first, you don’t know us at all!”

The end surprised me, a) it's a slice-of-life, b) so much politicking...
