Fabulous
Loved the diverse and unique characters. This book was warm, authentic and uplifting. It was so funny that I laughed out loud for much of it and could not stop for a few minutes at the church scene. I’m appreciative of the writer and the narrators mastered art and talent for expressing the genuine human experience so beautifully. I look forward to more in the series.

Charming story
This story was most enjoyable. As I am beginning to think about my own retirement, hopefully outside the US, I could relate and will now add Spain to my list of possible retirement countries. The voice actor was excellent and each character voiced quite authentically.

Lovely lighthearted heartwarming story, will make you laugh aloud at times.
I enjoyed the dialogues, the humor, and the heartwarming portrayal of small community country life. It was an enjoyable story with a plentiful group of fun and quirky characters. I was disappointed at what a small role mules play though- they never really figure into the story in any significant way, which makes the title a bit misleading.

Delightful story and characters.
If you are looking for something light-hearted, this book is a real winner. The characters are well-developed, and the story moves along at a nice pace. The narrator is very pleasant and does justice to the characters.
