Drama from the step-momma

This was a very cute story. I did not like Bash's jealousy but I did like how he stepped up immediately one he was informed. Of course Wesliegh did her thing times a million. Leon held his own.

I have to be honest

Did I like the writing in the book? Yes
Did the narrators do good? Yes

However, this book makes me realize how misogynistic both male and female writers are. Especially in this genre of books. African-American more urban Street literature. The whole book kind of bashed the wife when to me she was a victim. The author spent the whole book acting like she did something wrong when this man cheated the night before his wedding, got somebody pregnant, then went to jail and while he was in jail she literally stayed with him regardless if they made it be that she cheated or whatever. Come on be serious. Then it was like they wanted us to feel like “Oh my God but they’re soulmates”! Then Luna star she had no smoke for him at all and all smoke for the wife who was the VICTIM! I just feel like in a lot of these books it is always like the male character can do anything and it is somehow OK. As long as he likes a certain woman he can be disrespectful & he can treat another woman any type of way and as long as he is in love with someone else and it’s put to us like their soulmate then he’s just OK. And I’m starting to see that it is morsel with female authors. It’s like internalized misogyny in book form. So again I think this author is a great author because I like a lot of the books however I can’t get with what’s being said or being portrayed in these books.

Loved the story

The author and narrators are amazing! This is a must read… excellent boot. Enjoyed from start to finish.

Good story

As expected, the narration by Leon Nixon and Wesleigh Siobhan was done expertly. The story was okay. I liked the characters for the most part, but I found it difficult to completely connect with them. I loved the idea of the Den. If only…

Perfect story

Loved the narration, voices and story line! I was hoping it had a part 2 but all good things must come to an end. Lol!!!

It’s Okay

The storyline is interesting, but I needed Bach to man up!!!! He was a little too emotional for me. Now, I love a strong man who can tap into his feelings. He was more whiny and slow to action…that’s all I’m saying. He should have beat some folks down several times and didn’t. My girl, on the other hand, was the truth! Loved her character and the narrator brought her to life!

Excellent story

Good book I did get quite annoyed with the typical baby daddy dumbness though. Playing both sides and not being totally honest had me irritated but glad it all worked out.
