About this listen

Dhalgo is a pacifist living in a tribe of warriors known as the Kimbry. All he wants to do is train naequine, his tribe's elephant-sized warhorses, but tradition and prejudice keeps Dhalgo from doing the thing he loves.

Unbeknownst to the Kimbry, an apocalyptic battle lies on the horizon. Namarrgon, the greatest evil in a world full of monsters, has raised a massive army that is sweeping across the land like a plague.

Namarrgon's only rival is a Warlord named Munuane. He enlists the Kimbry and unexpectedly promotes Dhalgo to be Chief Naequine Steward, changing his entire life in the blink of an eye. But tragedy looms in the most unlikely of guises: a simple black cloak.

Most authers should not be narrators.

Would you try another book from William Hrdina and/or William Hrdina?

No

What was most disappointing about William Hrdina’s story?

Over all the writing was to simplistic, felt like it was written kids if not for the content. What humor there was, was juvenile and the evil was over the top and stereotype. I mean at the "Today's password?"and "Dead kittens." I had to roll my eyes.

What didn’t you like about William Hrdina’s performance?

Dull and dry, It's been my experience that authors make terrible narrators. With a good narrator each person comes alive as it's own personalty but this is just some guy reading aloud.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Story might work if he wrote more like a grown up and did not try to narrate his own story.
