Publisher's summary

The Beach House Hotel, the seaside mansion Ann Rutherford and Rhonda Del Monte converted to an upscale boutique hotel, continues to be a success. Not only is it the spot for breakfast and lunch, it's become the "in" place for dinner. However, they still face many challenges. With the sudden death of Robert and Kandie, Ann and Vaughn decide to raise their son, Robbie, to help relieve Ann's daughter, Liz, of the responsibility she thought she'd never have. And Rhonda becomes both a mother and grandmother. But the hotel is their baby - their pride and joy - even as they recognize the need to hire a general manager when their own families grow in ways they never expected. Then, Vaughn's plane is lost on a fishing trip in Alaska, and Ann is devastated to think she might lose him. When investors want to buy the hotel, Ann and Rhonda are faced with even bigger decisions. But they know, no matter what they choose, their love and friendship will endure.

Very Good Series

Would you listen to Dinner at the Beach House Hotel again? Why?

Yes. I would listen to the whole series again. All three books were great and the reader is the best reader of any books I have listened to, which is a lot of books.

What did you like best about this story?

The stories in all three were very realistic not only in their personal and love relationships, with all of the problems the hotel owners faced in their daily operating routines.

What does Angela Dawe bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She is an exceptional reader! She brought the different personalities out, using different accents and "voices" for the characters. You wouldn't get those differences if you read the book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Some laughing, and some dreading, like "Oh, no! What are they going to do now?" And then wondering how they are going to solve the problem(s).

Any additional comments?

I hope there will be more in this series about the lives of the characters since the third book, of course, keeping the same reader, Angela Dawe.

Dinner at the Beach House

This has been a great series! This is the third book in the series. I read the books first and
loved the series so I wanted to hear it on
audio. It makes the characters you love
come alive. Ann and Rhonda are great friends
and have made the Beach House Hotel a success. They go through fun times and
challenging times. I loved the characters and
was sorry for the book to end. I definitely recommend this book and the series.

Very good

Don’t care for the narrators accent(s) at all.
Rhonda, I know is meant to be roughish, but she’s too much so.
Please, just plain talk.

Not a fan of this installment being so much about the kid and the annoying kid voice

I didn't feel this book was on par with the other ones... well I thought the narrator did a great job of mimicking a small child's voice it was kind of hard on the ears I wish they would've had him talk so much---didn't seem to fit in with the other characters too well and while the storyline was a good one I wish they just would've not written in so many narrated parts for a child's voice

Talented narrator

It took a while to hook me on this one. Suspense and conflict is mild. Narration is excellent. Gotta love a happy ending to a warm heart filled story.
