Common themes but good to hear again

There are many common and familiar themes in this book, but they help to reinforce ideas to help overcome overthinking.

Remember that this is one's journey to overcome overthinking and the distress it can cause. Not everyone needs a god to be at peace. The author mentions God several times but God and religion can cause much fear and overthinking itself. If that's what he needed, then fantastic, but remember to listen to your instincts as a guide to what you need.

Overall, I liked the book and it is worth a listen as I emcountered many "ah-ha" moments. Go into it open minded, with an empty cup as the author mentions, and you will learn something to help guide you to inner peace.

Completely altered my experience of life

I have always pursued development in mindfulness and the power to choose my life; however something was always nagging at me and no matter how effective my development seemed i would always fall back into old patterns. This was so frustrating until i listened to this book and now understand its simplest concept that has transformed my ability to stay on course. The difference between thought and thinking as told by the author has had a profound effect on my ability to center myself and find peace.

Well worth listening to, and the author reads with compassion and self experience.

Even Better than the First

So I thought the first edition was amazing and really thought it was going to be hard to improve upon, but he did. If you are on any type of spiritual journey or are having issues with anxiety I highly recommend this book. If you practice the methods it can really help you eliminate most of your negative thinking.

Great Insight, Terrible delivery.

The layout and concepts of this book are very thought provoking and helpful. I enjoyed the quotes throughout. The choppy, monotone, Christopher Walken style delivery made this a very difficult listen.
