Journey

This was pretty good. It just seemed like it needed something. But worth reading.
I liked the characters.

A book more about guns and the military

It's refreshing that a woman is the main character and that she is strong and fights for what she thinks is right.

When I pick up a book about emp, I want to read about the struggles and how they cope with lack of technology.

A large portion of the book is about fighting of the enemy and detailed descriptions of weapons and military jargon. You don't need a emp for that.

Although less then in some other books, Christianity is heavily twinned in, with focus on prayer and connection good personal character to being a good Christian person. It's praised when the husband starts going to church (even though it was mandatory) and how he swears less and is taking in the message on a personal level. At one point in the book it's bragged about how every single person attends church twice a week.
