Publisher's summary

A captain on the run from the horrors of his past. A girl on the run from the trap of her present. A ship that will bring them together....

Captain Evridiki “EB” Bardacki was once a nova fighter pilot for a nation he truly believed in. Betrayal and failure sent him into exile and flight. Now, owner-operator of the freelance star freighter Evasion, he treks the edge of human space, taking cargos that lead him ever onward - but there are lines he will not cross.

When those lines are challenged, EB makes enemies of the most powerful crime syndicate for a hundred light-years. When one of their victims stows away on his ship, he finds himself pursued by an enemy with assets everywhere he turns.

Caught between the devil and the deep dark void, EB has run out of places to run - but in a child looking to him for salvation, he may have found something to fight for!

This book deals with themes and details of human trafficking and sexual exploitation.

Great story, well written diversity.

Another excellently entertaining novel by Glynn Stewart. Compelling plot, well rounded cast of characters with excellent representation.

Good enough story but oozing wokeness..

The story line was fine but like is said the woke stuff is crammed so hard into the story that at times I almost stopped listening. I have no problem with the Captain being gay or having a boyfriend on the ship I mean him being gay made for a somewhat comical spot in the story that gave me a chuckle. But I'm sorry I have to ask how many times do I need to be reminded that the navigator is his "Lover". Now it's obvious that I am not gay but I also don't have any real issues with gays, I even had a 40 year old African American gay friend that I worked with when I was 16 and we got along great but I can't stand it when it feels like someone is stuffing this type of thing in my face. Anyway didn't want to write a long winded rant so I'll leave it with this. The story was pretty good but if you aren't wanting to listen to a gay romance you might want to pass this one up.

My Take

Very good story line. not too keen on the gay captain aspect, too much lover lingo. other than that. I liked the book, can't wait for the next book

Excellent book. Glynn Stewart did it again

The book was great from start to finish. Kept me hooked with the new characters and setting. Great start to a new series. Looking forward to the next one. He kept me hooked from the first page to the end. Couldn’t put it down. I would recommend this book to anybody who is a fan of the already published scattered stars books or just a fan of the authors
works in general. I gave it the rating I did because it was a very well written book and the narrator was great.

decent storyline...but

overall a good space opera mix of characters development and action. but definitely over done with the hun, lover, gay in your face lead characters...every other paragraph filled with this over to top in your face gay pride. step it down a bite Glynn we got the point early on in the book. your beating a woke horse to death.

don't bother

Waste if time . Poorly written story, has no engaging aspects. I tried but couldn't continue with it, flat and dull.
