How to Build Your Dream Home Laying a Solid Foundation, by Kris Land is the real deal. It's a thorough audiobook for the novice home builder. So much goes into doing it right. From the site to the foundation to the permits required -hiring people who you can trust is paramount- so you must do your homework! Sometimes if the contractors cut corners, problems can arise immediately...or worse, after months or years.
Money is an important consideration but just getting the cheapest person to do a job is not the best idea. (as Land points out with the real-life situations and examples he presents.) Knowledge is power- if you are building a house or know someone who is this is the perfect listen.

I have been interested in building my own home for some time now but was hesitant because the internet searches yielded far to much information. This book is a great place to start as it is super comprehensive on this important foundational step. I am surely getting the other books by this author! This book definitely gives me more confidence that I can do it too! Knowledge is power!
I enjoyed the narrators voice too. It seems spot on to me for this type of book!
