Sweet and cute

This story was so sweet and cute. I listened to this in a day, and will probably listen to it again. The Narrator did a very good job.
Not my 1st book by Lisa Gold and definitely will not be my last.

Well written

It’s a coming out story. Well written and full of heart and feeling. It addresses all aspects of life work and family when you decide to be honest with yourself and those around you. In this case everyone was okay with it. But we all know in our hearts it always doesn’t go that way. Live, love and be happy.

Beautifully Written

The way this built self discovery and love was beautiful. First book in a while that built the suspense in such a great way.

Dreams can come true

The role dreams play in our lives is an interesting topic. In this book, morning show celebrity Rebecca hasn’t slept properly in months and finally goes to see renowned dream therapist, Emma. As it turns out, Rebecca is Emma’s celebrity crush, but thankfully her ethics are firmly in place and she is able to help Rebecca get to some clarity about her dreams.

I enjoyed this relatively low angst, slow burn exploration of identity. Rebecca had a lot to work through, not the least of which was the expectations of her Indian immigrant parents and their heteronormative views. When the therapist relationship ends and their relationship begins, it still moves a bit slowly, mostly due to Emma not wanting to rush Rebecca or to be her trial run. As usual in a Gold book, the sex scenes were great and it made total sense that someone who just came out and found enjoyment in the bedroom for the first time would be rather insatiable.

The narration was good, but I will admit I didn't realize until pretty far in that the book was sent in England because the narrator used American accents.

I received an audio copy of this book directly from the author and am leaving this review voluntarily.
