Publisher's summary

Franny Marten's life is unraveling. Expecting to meet her boyfriend, Marcus Marks, for dinner, she finds his wife waiting for her instead. After the initial shock wears off, Franny finds she has more in common with Clare Marks than she could ever have imagined. And, amazingly, the women become fast friends. When Franny is unexpectedly offered an all-expenses-paid invitation to a family reunion in Provence, she goes, and takes Clare along for the ride. Provence is everything Franny pictured, but nothing at all what she expected. There are dangerous family secrets buried deep in the lovely landscape of southern France, and there is someone who will go to great lengths to keep Franny from uncovering them.

All of the family drama and a little romance

I have listened to the book twice now. Quite enjoyable. Once I know the story well enough that it doesn't keep me awake, I will add it to my playlist for books to play while falling asleep the Narrator has a soothing voice.

Good Book

The narrators attempt at accents could use work or maybe just don't use accents.

Bana- Not much romance

It seemed that there was a lot of repeats of the charter's pass tragedies. Maybe needed since it was a long book. as a romance book? should have been more of a suspense, it has the romantic ending, but there wasn't much of it during the story. The ending was not much of Suprise

not the same old tale

I enjoyed the plot and the well developed characters. I enjoy the romance without the raunch. I look forward to more by this author.

Really enjoyed this book

I am binge reading thru Audible all the Elizabeth Adler books that are available. I am remiss I’m not doing a full review for each one of the seven I’ve read so far. I am enjoying them immensely. I get to travel all over without leaving my chair during Covid by listening to them. Loved this one as well as the Mac and Sunny series and wish there were more of those. Her characters are so interesting and generally delightful such as Lola and Jack and Franny and Jake and Claire. I’m ready to read the next one!

Needs different narrator

It’s a predictable romance with nice descriptions of landscape. The book really needed a different narrator, though. I had to set on speed 1.3x so it didn’t sound like a record on slow speed.
