Publisher's summary

David Chance can see messages in the sea of words around him, messages that warn him of future events. Words are everywhere - on labels, magazines, sign posts, t-shirts - everywhere. And as much as David Chance would like to hide from them, he can't. Words keep leaping off objects around him, forming messages in his mind. But how is this possible? Has his brain suddenly taken an evolutionary leap forward, or are the mysterious messages proof of divine intervention?

Driven to answer a question he'd long ago abandoned, and stalked by the killer he's trying to stop, David risks everything to follow the messages to a dirty bomb set to go off in the heart of Boston. But can he trust the author of the messages to protect him from a terrorist who seems to know his every move.

kept me thinking

I didn't realize this was a Christian theme or I wouldn't have chosen to read it. the story was very good when you could shut down the preaching.

Plot was okay

Plot of story was good but the writing reminded me of an amateur. The sentences were not written the way the average person would speak. I hate to be critical but I think the author would do better to write less basic and more like the average person verbalizes. I like the part that presented the gospel and the idea that God spoke to David in a unique way. I hope this author continues to write, and takes criticism the way it is intended , not to discourage- to help him improve.

Really enjoyed this book & it got better going along

At first a bit awkward before the characters were developed, & also the hero early seemed unaware of danger. Great concept which could explain why terrorists are not doing better in the U. S.! Very fast paced & entertaining. Not preachy, but rather has realistic Christian dialogue in a few places which does not detract from the story. Loved the book & want sequels since there are good characters & I like the concept. You can't tell me some things like this don't actually happen, just mostly by different means. (Review by Rick.)

No BK 2 NEEDED-ReClassify Category & Age parameter

Would you ever listen to anything by John Michael Hileman again?

Probably not, this bk had potential & is a series but even if writing got better by book #2, I didn't find anyone I cared about enough or found interesting enough to look forward to revisiting.. . and seriously, "Adult Suspense" ?

Any additional comments?

I normally like all kinds of mystery's, of every genre, and this one had a good and new twist w/ a little "paranormal'. And I am not opposed at all to refernces to faith or Christianity thrown in (some people are) But this is so weak in character development & plot line & heavy in faith building/faith questioning (& juvenile at that) it should not be categorized under suspense/mystery.And I don't mind light weight reads but light weight characters, that u mostly have to listen to their inner dialogue of ' what do I next' , or ' wonder if', is too much for 10 he's. It brought me to the eye rolling stage by mid book & name calling (nit wit) which I usually don't do, by last hour. So, glad I didn't use credit got kindle sale

Had potential

Sadly I couldn't finish the audio version of this book. The storyline sounded interesting I still think it could but it seemed s bit cheesy and the narration did not appeal to me at all. In fact that was why I stopped listening. Maybe I'll just go ahead and read it later.
