Delightful

I would recommend this to anyone who likes this genre or anyone who read 'My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding' (only one story carries over).
85% of the stories caught my interest and were fun listens.
The narrators were chosen well.
I enjoyed listening to this book and you will too.

Good read

It was better than I thought it would be. It would have been better if the same gender narrator read their part and the opposite gender read their part.

Ugh. No Table of Contents

Another nine, mostly cute paranormal shorts, each between 1 and 1.5 hrs. I liked this better than
My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding, but unlike that collection, you can’t count on one story per chapter.
Also, you can’t count on the usual narrator for the series being the same narrator here.

1. (Ch 1) Stalked by Kelly Armstrong. Male narrator from Kit’s perspective as a werewolf pair fend off werewolves during their honeymoon. Apparently from the Otherworld series. Unnecessary F bombs.
Not so much a story as a chapter excerpt. ⭐️⭐️
2. (Ch 2) Heorot by Jim Butcher. “Well, Hell, she said please.” Dresden teams with Guar, who goes berserker over a Grendel-kin. I like his shorts; faster, funnier. But, if you’re getting this for Dresden,
get the Dresden collection titled Side Jobs instead.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
3. (Chs 3 & 4) Roman Holiday by Rachel Caine. More arghh modern-day pirate scaly-wagging.
This is part II from Dead Man’s Chest in The Big Fat Supernatural Wedding collection.
Feeling is campy, like Robyn Peterman’s books, or Pirates of the Caribbean goes Scooby Doo. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
4. (Ch 5) Her Mother’s Daughter by PN Elrod. A caper from the series, with a vampire detective from the 1920s helping a mob boss’s daughter find her missing groom. Fun in a “youz guyz” kind of way,
great if you speed up and can deal with the cringey female voices. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
5. (Ch 6) Newly Dead by Caitlyn Kittridge. F bombs and drug track-marks as some sort of warlock and a new werewolf find themselves honeymooning at a sinister resort. The MCs are rather cranky and snipe at each other a lot for newlyweds, but I dug the horror vibe. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
6. (Ch 7) Where the Heart Lives by Marjorie Liu. It’s like a Grimm’s fairy tale. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
7 (Ch 8) Cat Got Your Tongue by Katie MacAllister. Two modern day honeymooners find ghosts, a curse and Scottish accents. This short can also be had in a 2-pack of MacAllister novellas from two of her series, titled The Perils of Effrijim. ⭐️⭐️
8 (Chs 9 & 10) Half of Being Married by Lilith Saintcrow. Pretty fun, with lots of crusty exclamations of GD,
about an unknowingly wed vampire hunter and werewolf. One star removed for robo-narration. ⭐️⭐️⭐️
9 (Ch 11) A Wolf in Groom’s Clothing by Rhonda Thompson. Felt too high school cute. ⭐️⭐️

Ehhh...

It was underwhelming from beginning to end. A few of the stories had a lot of potential, and then fell flat...
...and I think that if I had liked the chosen narrators, I might possibly have liked it better. Possibly.

The Butcher story was good.

I bought this for the Dresden files story which was wonderful. However, if I knew then what I know now having just finished it I would’ve only listen to that story and not bothered with the rest. If you by Jim Butcher for the intelligence, quick wit, and intriguing story lines then the rest of the stories will leave you wanting. Some of the readers were so juvenile sounding that I started wondering if this was his book meant for younger readers. It’s not that there are voices were young but that instead of acting the book I felt like I was listening to someone sitting on a bed reading out loud.
