Publisher's summary

Kaylee has one addiction: her very hot, very popular boyfriend, Nash. A banshee like Kaylee, Nash understands her like no one else. Nothing can come between them.

Until something does.

Demon breath. No, not the toothpaste-challenged kind. The Netherworld kind. The kind that really can kill you. Somehow the super-addictive substance has made its way to the human world. But how? Kaylee and Nash have to cut off the source and protect their friends—one of whom is already hooked.

And so is someone else....

Shocking!

What did you love best about My Soul to Keep?

That something I totally didn't see coming happen. I was really shocked by the turn of events.

What was one of the most memorable moments of My Soul to Keep?

The ending where all the questions are answered

Any additional comments?

I'm loving this series more and more with every book

This whole series is great

This is a fun series to listen to. It's a little teeny-boppy if you know what I mean. Takes me back to high school in some parts of the book, which sometimes is annoying lol. But she does a great job with the story and not making it to lovey and mushy.

Great series

I love the universe of this series. I enjoyed the way the reader protrayed the characters as well as the author.

This book shows growth in the main character from the first two books. By the end of the book she is better standing up for herself and very comfortable in her abilities.

The author takes you through a more extensive emotional journey than in the previous two books though.

A great continue to the series

A great continue to the series.
Although Addy did put herself in the situation she's in, I felt for her.
As for Sophie, I can't stand her, she's the typical mean girl you want to reach in and smack, lol.
I enjoyed where the story went and that even though this book is fiction, the topics were intune to what people go through in life, like the Demon's Breath addiction and how it affects others and not just themselves.
Kaylee is finding her strength and it seems she keeps getting hit with everything sideways, but she's a fighter and I like that about her.
With Nash, have to say his character P'd me off in this book. I really wanted to reach in and strangle the guy and shout at him asking what in the fresh devilish hell are you doing ya blooming idiot! Hopefully in the next book he'll redeem himself and hopefully Kaylee won't make it easy. I do have to say that a positive for his character is that Nash isn't made out to be this perfect hot-totty which can be offputting.
I'm really beginning to like Todd, he may be a reaper, but his character has some good qualities I like.
Now I'm not sure if it's just me, (this may be a bit of a spoiler, so sorry), but I kind of got a vibe for an opening for the triangle relationship in the future? I hope not because I'm a bit bored of that sort of thing and don't think my eyerolls can roll anymore. I really hope that Todd and Kaylee have a good friendship and nothing more.
Great book, looking forward to continuing the series.

More dealings with the Underworld.

Wow. In this book, sh*t really hits the fan. Aspects of the Netherworld are now finding their way into the real world and somehow Kaylee is finding her way to the Netherworld in her sleep. Kids at Kaylee and Nash's high school are getting high on something known to them as frost. But Kaylee and Nash know the truth, it's demon's breath. Nash is hesitant to get in the middle of it to try and cut off the supply of frost, but Kaylee, per usual, is full steam ahead. It takes one friend attacking Kaylee and then ending up in the psych ward and another dying for Nash to realize he's let it gone too far. Shortly after, he and Kaylee's father find themselves in a position that only Kaylee can get them out of (with the help of Tod, of course). When the truth of what Nash has truly been up to comes to light, Kaylee is understandably hurt and furious. The book ends in a huge cliffhanger and definitely does not feature a happy ending. Of course, this is the last book in the series included in the Audible Romance Package, so I need to purchase the next one if I wish to continue. Having read the blurb for My Soul to Steal, I'm honestly not so sure it's worth it. It sounds like the next book is full of teenage angst. If there comes a time that I can listen to the other books in the series via the Audible Romance Package, I might do it, but for now, it looks like this is the end of the line for me.

Good Listen

In this installment of the Soul Screamers series by Rachel Vincent, Kaylee and her boyfriend, Nash, discover that someone is selling demon's breath to their fellow high school students as the newest and coolest drug. And, people are dying. Now, they're in a race to find the culprit before someone else dies. Not to mention that Kaylee's world gets shattered when things hit way too close to home and she's forced to make decisions no person should have to face.

I get more and more invested in these characters with every book. This one was my favorite of the books. Hopefully, Rachel Vincent does not intend on ending the series any time soon as I could easily pick up the next book and start listening right now. I think that Rachel Vincent does a very good job of developing the characters with each book. This time, I found myself wishing for something to happen that I never would have suspected but, alas, I can't tell you what that is or I might spoil things for somebody. Now, if somebody's read them and wants to talk, let me know. Oh, yeah, Amanda Roncini does an excellent job narrating as well.
