Det må Nold sande, da han pludselig bliver involveret i nogle sager, som er ved at føre ham ud på noget af et skråplan...
Torben Nielsen (1918-1985) var en dansk forfatter, der udgav bøger i flere forskellige genrer. Nielsen fik sin litterære debut med bogen "Gry. Historien om et pindsvin", som udkom i 1970. Herefter udgav han både børnebøger såvel som krimier. Blandt andet modtog han Poe-klubbens Berenicepris for årets bedste krimi for bogen "Nitten røde roser" (1973). Nielsens kriminalromaner var kendt for deres realistiske islæt, som havde rod i Nielsens arbejde inden for politiet i mere end to årtier. Torben Nielsens serie om Nold handler om en ung dreng og hans opvækst i København. Det er ikke altid lige let at blive ældre, men uanset om det handler om drengestreger eller familieproblemer, bliver Nold nødt til at klare sig igennem det. Men nogle gange er det nu meget rart også at få hjælpe af sine venner.
