SEXY, HOT, EXCELLENT LOVE STORY

This Book did NOT disappoint!! The spicy chapters are HOT af & the emotional chapters will have you in tears. This is my 1st time hearing Lessa Lamb narrate & she is Phenomenal!! Of course Joe is always Phenomenal, but the 2 of them together - SUPERB!!

The Story draws you in

This is my 1st read from this author and over I enjoyed this story with a few exceptions
Not sure if it’s just me but I’ve not enjoyed many women narrators & since the 1st half of the story is told by the female lead, was so excited when it finally got to my fav guy Joe Arden as he is amazing !
I would have enjoyed much more if the whole story were told by him as the way she spoke was a bit annoying at times and especially at the end.
The story was well written and I enjoyed the journey she took us on in their lives

I did not know Serena Akeroyd's body of work until I received a recommendation from my Discord Book Club to start reading Obsessed. So Serena Akeroyd is now my Obsession!

Obsessed is a brilliant, dark, full-of-triggers, sexual bullying, alcoholism, child neglect, infant death, spousal abuse romance with a HEA for readers seeking true-to-life lessons, redemption, and peace. Joe Arden and Lessa Lamb bring to life the story of Nicholas Maclean and Phoebe Whitehouse, two twisted souls searching for a light to shine on their tortuous lives. Nicholas is perfection!

So, The Professor was the first book by Serena Akeroyd that I read (well, actually listened to) and all I can say is this update is just perfection! The combination of everything that I loved about Phoebe and Nicholas plus the new scenes that were added…just *chef’s kiss*. Nicholas is such a a-hole but goodness do I love him!

Seriously, Serena does an amazing job of not only bringing these characters to life but also making you want the jerk to be redeemed. There isn’t a book of her’s that I have read that didn’t pull me in and make me want to eat, sleep, and breathe it. Obsessed is everything and I am so glad that Serena was able to give us all those little extras!

I was able to listen to the updated version, as well, and Joe Arden and Less Lamb did an amazing job helping to bring Nicholas and Phoebe to life!

Loved loved this book!

Good God this audiobook is on fire! Joe Arden and Lessa Lamb are the PERFECT Nicholas and Phoebe! Whew so hot! Joe Arden is someone that I could just listen to all day long and not get tired! He brought Nicholas to life. Lessa Lamb made me believe that Phoebe was right here next to me. The way her voice was was absolutely perfect for every scene throughout the whole book! My absolute favorite chapters were Chapter 6 (oh the tears!), 19, 21, 25.

Phoebe and her Professor

The professor was obsessed with his student Phoebe and he was extremely patient. Phoebe had a rough life with a worthless alcoholic mother and a baby brother to raise. In addition to that, she held two jobs and had all of her school work. I found the first half of the book slow but the second half was much better and Joe Arden did most of the narration. The professor's ex and his parents were terrible people. Although the ending was enjoyable but I didn't care for this book nearly as much as Ms. Ackeroyd's other books and I usually love her writing but not so much this time. Joe Arden and Lessa Lamb did a great job with the narration.

Once again some very taboo topics very eloquently and sexy way of writing and discussing them written by Serena Akeroyd! Thanks, I’m an adult and writer myself and I love it all, an amazing plot, 🤔great sex,😜, and interesting real characters!😉 You don’t disappoint in this one!

Narration bravo! 👏🏾 👏🏾 Men sound like men and women sound like women, everyone is age appropriate and it all made sense!

Holy Possessive, Stalker Romance! This is a such fantastic and HOT book! I loved every minute of this non traditional love story. The characters are s*xy as sin and the narrators of the audiobook did an amazing job bringing the hotness to life. I absolutely consider this a Must Read and/or Listen and highly recommend it in paperback (did you see that smexy cover?), ebook, and audiobook!

Delicious Dark Romance!

Being a lover, and a connoisseur of non-traditional dark romance love stories, let me tell you. This is one of my favorite books of the year. Serena just has such an amazing range in her writing style. There are so many things that were such pleasant surprises throughout this book. The way she wrote the first half of the book from the female POV and the second half male POV was genius. Professor Nicolas McLean has an obsession, and her name is Phoebe. He’s been watching her from a far, stalking her, protecting her for years. His obsession got kicked up a notch when Phoebe enrolled in his creative writing class. It was hard for him to be so close to her. One day he had an opportunity to blackmail her, and to have her under his thumb. To do his dirty, sexy biddings. Phoebe is just a young woman going to college full-time, working two jobs to support her infant brother and her non-functioning alcoholic mother. She’s just a sweet girl, loyal, and and naïve to her beauty. There are some of the most erotic and sexy scenes! This man makes just watching so darn sexy and erotic. I was totally not expecting some shocking revelations about his past. Phoebe’s character growth was amazing. She was both equal equally terrified of him, and half aroused by him.
Lessa Lamb and Joe Arden both gave stellar performances. Lessa portrayed Phoebe perfectly! Lessa was able to make you feel Phoebe’s determination, disappointment, rage, confusion, and love and lust. She had to play pretty much all the the spectrum of emotions. Lessa was phenomenal. Joe Arden was the perfect choice to play Nicholas. Joe has a perfect voice for the Professors dark characters. Borderline psychotic at times. His low rasps were bone chilling. The whisper groans, HOT! Joe also gave such great vulnerability as well. The amount of filthy dirty talk he delivers was exceptional. He made you root for their eventual HEA.
