I really needed a book like this
I really needed a book like this. I love to have flowers all around but I don't have a green thumb and I need help! I don't want to keep killing my plants and flowers. This book is full of useful information for growing and bulbing your flowers.

Very practical
The book begins with a practical discussion of garden design and explains how the bed geometry and choice of plants will determine the maintenance required to keep the garden in top condition. As a sometimes trial-and-error gardener I must confess I often choose the plant based on the bloom and have introduced several demanding species into my garden space. There are perennials for vegetables, flowers, grasses, shrubs, foliage, bulbs, herbs, fruits, and berries, etc. For all of these, the author did a great job addressing what they are and how to plant them. Amazing.

I appreciate the hard work of the author.
I'm new to gardening and the unbelievable number of choices in perennial plants can be overwhelming! I started by picking plants I liked, but many didn't return the following year. I now use this book as a resource to learn about whether the type of plant I'm considering will do well where I have the space to put it, and I'm sure this book has saved me time, money, and feelings of frustration. I appreciate the hard work of the author.
