Publisher's summary
A former assassin. A past marred by violence. The chance for redemption.
Danzen Ravja’s life has never been easy, not when he was an orphan at the Diyu Brotherhood, not since he retired from the blood trade, and certainly not since he began cultivating his echo, which has unlocked an entirely new level of enemies.
Nomtoi, Danzen’s demon half-brother, has unleashed the Seven Evils, the most vile hellspawns that Diyu has to offer. While Danzen and his companions have been able to stop some of them already, Uchi and Kitazawa prove to be challenges that they may not be able to overcome.
A new conflict arises in the way Danzen plans to rebuild heaven itself, one that will require cooperation with a wide range of players who may not see eye to eye. And there are always assassins to contend with, cultists, even a yokai dragon known as a tatsu that has been terrorizing the northern passage.
For once, Danzen Ravja may have his work cut out for him.
Pilgrim is a bestselling progression fantasy/cultivation series inspired by the Witcher books and games, John Wick films, the Inuyasha anime, the Preacher comics, and the movie Yojimbo.

Morgan used to be a pretty normal guy. He went to college by day and played online games by night, leading his guild into new conquests - until he got hit by a car and a dude wearing a wet suit appeared in front of him. The man offered him a new chance at life in a world he had created, a world with similar rules to the games Morgan loved to play. There is the promise of great rewards and power, he says, if Morgan manages to complete the Tower of Power.

Story
Their peace was a fragile thing, but it had endured for seven years, mostly because the people of Darassus and the king of the Naor hordes believed his doom was foretold upon the edge of the great sword hung in the hall of champions. Unruly Naor clans might raid across the border, but the king himself would never lead his people to war so long as the blade remained in the hands of his enemies. But when squire Elenai’s aging uncovers evidence that the sword in their hall is a forgery, she’s forced to flee Darassus for her life, her only ally the reckless, disillusioned Kyrkenall.

The gods gifted their champion, Daemron, with three magical Talismans: a sword, a ring, and a crown. But the awesome power at his command corrupted Daemron, turning him from savior to destroyer. the journey continues...
I gotta say, I devoured this book in no time and needed a second go but instead decided to start from the beginning since this is one of the best damned books I've got hooked on for awhile! No one love's Harmon Cooper's amazing observational humor and debauchery more than myself but this book is easily digestible for All ages, minimal debauchery but nevertheless entertaining with key characters and funny sidekicks, wild adventures and even spiritual aspects that make it something not to pass up!!! Well done!!!

Great book
I really enjoyed this book and the whole series. The interactions and combat is great. Much of the story advanced and this is a great narration.
