Publisher's summary
From USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Jenshak comes a standalone fake dating sports romance. This steamy, grumpy / sunshine football romance delivers a swoony and emotional happily ever after.
Brogan Six’s fan mail has been filling my mailbox for weeks. With every lipstick covered letter I receive, my irritation with him grows. And let’s not talk about the time I accidentally opened one of the packages to find someone had sent him their panties. Gross. When I come face-to-face with my new nemesis, I expect to give him a piece of my mind and we’ll go our separate ways. Me to an empty mailbox and him to sift through his panty collection. That is not what happens.
I don’t know if it was the booze, his clever wit, or if I was tricked (I’m sure I was tricked), but now I’m fake dating the Mavericks’ hot new rookie. And I might just be the next woman to lose her panties to Brogan Six. Playbook is a standalone fake dating, grumpy/sunshine sports romance with banter, found family, spice, and a guaranteed happily ever after.

Eight years ago I fell into a secret summer fling with my best friend’s little sister before our lives went in different directions. Now, I’m the grumpy to Juliet’s sunshine on a popular dating podcast we host, and when a wealthy fan gives us a charming coastal cottage as the biggest thank you ever, we head to the town where I grew up to give it a makeover. And find the house has only one bed. Located under a mirrored ceiling.

You’ve got mail!
It's bad enough to "inherit" a famous football player's PO Box, but it gets worse when you accidentally open a package to find ...used panties?! Gross! That's the situation London finds herself in and when, by sheer luck, she has a chance encounter with her nemesis at a bar, she lets him know exactly what she thinks of this unfortunate situation.
Brogan Six, an honorary Holland, is the Maverick's new rookie. From the kind of mail he's been receiving, we know he's developed a "reputation". So, when London goes off on him, he realizes things are to of control and he needs an image makeover. It's just his luck that London needs a boyfriend to save face at her sister's wedding festivities that sadly include her cheating ex. Enter Brogan... and pretty soon Logan is ready to hand him her panties herself.
I loved this one! Brogan is adorable in his reformed playboy/golden retriever ways and London is fun as his "I take no crap from you" nemesis and fake girlfriend. It's swoon worthy to see them go from "enemies" to each other's biggest supporters.
Plus, we get the Holland brothers again!
Narrated duet style by newcomer Juno Cooper and Jacob Morgan, this audiobook is a delight! Juno has a beautiful, sweet but raspy voice and her performance is brilliant. This girl is hitting the ground running and I expect great things from her in the future. Jacob was the perfect choice to voice the full of swagger but vulnerable Brogan. These two together are specially adorable (if you know you know). I can't wait to hear more from Juno and Jacob is always a treat!
Sports romance, found family, the Holland brothers, some not so fake dating... highly recommend!

The worst female narrator
😵💫 the female narrator is so monotone and boring that I had to physically force myself to stay awake to listen when it was her chapters. It’s duet style so it helped a little to still hear Jacob’s voice when it’s not his chapter.

An instant favorite in every way!
This immediately went into my favorites. This book was wonderful in every way. The story was so sweet, and laugh out loud funny with just enough of the right kind of angst to keep it interesting and keep me engaged with how it tugged at my heart. I fell in love with these two characters immediately which made following their journey such a treat. I’m a sucker for a fake dating trope, and this one was so well written! I found myself grinning at times and sappy/happy tear smiling at other times.
As for the Audio book itself, hands down a new favorite. I really liked that it was done in duet style and both narrators were fantastic. Every character they voiced was clearly distinct and interesting and they both brought so much life and heart to these characters and the story. Jacob Morgan is already my favorite, you can now consider me a huge fan of Juno as well! I enjoyed her narration so much! They truly make a fantastic team and I’m not just saying that. I listened to this all in the span of one day and was still sad when it was over. I was really enjoying myself.
This was just a complete and utter delight in every way and it’s one I’ll be revisiting.

Narrators matter
The book was excellent. Jacob Morgan was amazing as always. However Juno is very monotone. She has a great voice but her whole narration just was blah. Narration matters and being monotone just takes away from the story line.
