Publisher's summary

I've awoken in another reality, one where confinement and brutality are a thing of the past.

I now know freedom, I know compassion, and I know there's something more for me in this f----d up world.

Ryker, Axel, Gray, and Emmett. These men, these Ruthless Brothers, have given me strength, and my instinct to run dwindles with each passing day.

My past and present are on a collision course set on destruction. While truths have been revealed, nothing can fully prepare you for an evil that never sleeps.

All Hell has broken loose, and the Devil is on our doorstep. But I'm ruthless to the core, a rebel till the end, and I'll protect what's mine till my last breath.

Good progression of the story

The way trauma is addressed seems more real than other books I have read with similar traumas. The characters feel real and relatable. Plenty of spice.

not bad for a follow up..

So I did like the first one, although there were plot holes and things that bothered me, I knew I still wanted to read the second in the series.

The good: The narrators do a good job, I liked both voices. I was interested in where the storyline would go and kept wanting to listen.

The bad: I am not a fan of mm, not my cup of tea. I skipped it when I could but honestly just ruined the story for me. I like my rh to be all about the girl. I did not like that all of a sudden Scarlett had a problem with reading. That felt like it came out of the blue, didn't add to the storyline and was out of place. The ow drama was really getting old and in the end Scarlett feels a bit like a biker mary sue for me.

the ugly: I have major issues when british authors write stories that take place in america and feels like they didn't do enough research. The mc lives in Texas, where were the texas accents. Also one thing that really got on my nerves is some of the verbage and language came across as oddly formal and men in an mc would not talk like that especially here in tx. these details matter. Probably won't finish the last one in the series.
