Sometimes love is the only thing that heals

Jillian Farmer finds herself becoming a "wet nurse" to a baby after his mother is killed and he refuses to take a bottle or formula. She is a new single mom due to the loss of her military husband six months before.

Benjamin Forman is little "Ben's" father who is serving over seas in the military. He comes home to mourn for his wife and finds that maybe he just may not be needed with stranger woman who is loving on his son and his in-laws who are hostile to him and his marriage to his late wife.

Together these two need to do what is best for little Ben and through this goal find that only love, acceptance, forgiveness, and persistence can allow for healing and faith.

The story was good, but it struck me as very strange that romantic feelings came so easy and strong for both characters since they had both just lost the "loves of their lives" and it made the story a bit unrealistic for me. Taking that part away, the general story was very well written and the characters were believable and you could feel the pain and sorrow, hope and joy "ride" Cynthia Willow takes the reader on.

A sweet story - Saving Private Benjamin

Private Benjamin Forman is serving overseas when he gets word that his wife has been killed in a tragic accident. Now he is left to deal with the sorrow and pain over the loss of his wife and being responsible for a newborn son that he's never met.

Jillian Farmer was in the "right place at the right time". She witnesses a tragic accident that leaves a newborn in need of immediate help. Jillians own experiences put her in a unique position to be able to help a family in desperate need, but do they want it.

Saving Private Benjamin is a very well written story by Cynthia P. Willow and narrated by Patte Shaughnessy.
