Great book
In Chapter 7, Triggering Oxytocin, it was very interesting on how the author tied the hormone Oxytocin to selling/marketing. When something or someone makes us laughs or grabs our attention, our body releases Oxytocin, aka the feel-good hormone which makes relationship building and persuasion easier. The author then goes to explain that humoring others releases Oxytocin which makes them more receptive to what you are proposing or selling. This book is filled with easy ways to market through emotional selling.

A must-buy
Having an MBA and working in corporate for a long time including in advertising and sales, I have read a lot of books about business, communication, sales, writing, and influence. This book has ideas I have not seen before, and they’re brilliant. Some excerpts that really stuck with me included the acronym STEAM ATTRACTORS, “owning the mantra of calm confidence,” how laughers are buyers, and the myriad of specific examples of real-life applications of companies that used these techniques successfully—or not.
Books on these topics can be quite dry, but this is a radiant exception. It was hard for me to put it down because the storytelling and the narration are so compelling.
If you apply even 10% of the suggestions and evidence-based wisdom contained in this book, you will see a radical difference in the way you show up in business and in any area of your life in which you are looking to be noticed and influential. Don’t sleep on this—this book is likely to be on top business book lists for years to come.

Well, you want to know if you should buy this book. Heck yeah you should!!! As a new entrepreneur starting to launch my medical spa, this book had me rethinking my whole marketing process, from renaming my products to changing my slogan. YES!!! It was that powerful. Bond described 14 persuasion triggers that will ignite your clients buying brain in ways you didn’t know existed. The author used his marketing background to simplify the subject and without a doubt grabbed the reader’s attention. It was captivating, interesting, educational and a career changing to say the least. Well done!!!

Timeless, an essential marketing resource!
The information in this audiobook is easily worth as much as a course that costs $500 or $1000. There are countless resources about marketing online and plenty of competition in the form of other marketing books. This audiobook beats those by a mile.
The information is always presented in a logical, non-technical, and easy-to-understand fashion. The author uses contemporary examples, such as Elizabeth Holmes of Theranos in Chapter 3, to convey complex concepts like simplifying the message for the target consumer.
There is much more to say about this audiobook than I can fit in this short review. Whether you are an experienced marketing professional or a complete beginner, there is plenty to learn from this audiobook. The author clearly has a passion for the subject and did their homework.
In my opinion, you're leaving sales on the table if you don't get this audiobook. 10/10

The MOST Persuasive Book Ever
First of all, I must say that this is one of the best books I’ve come across this ENTiRE year. This is the type of book that has the power to change my business , attitude , productiveness and ultimately my life.
I started listening to this book while in the gym, and I can’t tell you how many times I had to stop my reps in order to take notes on my phone! I’m sure others were thinking “look at this girl texting”, but oh no —I was downloading game
changing information !
The author does a magnificent job making this book interesting from beginning to the end. I love the real life examples used in between the knowledge he drops. I was literally laughing out loud and enjoying talking along with the catch phrases that are in our collective subconscious.
The author insists that to become a more proficient and successful seller and influencer, we must come up with phrases that will trigger the emotions. As he says “emotions are more powerful than logic”. He reminded us of the global phrase Attorney Johnny Cochran used to get OJ off : “If the glove don’t fit you just acquit”. Forget about grammatical correctness. This phrase resonated to the entire world. It was made stronger, as the author states, by the entire world watching OJ struggling to put on that glove. A visual combined with a winning phrase —case closed !
I had never heard of the term “brain glue”, but now I understand it completely ! WOW! I wish I had this book years ago! But as the author tells us, the time to start implementing these strategies is RIGHT NOW, without over thinking it. Some of the most successful sellers in the world use the strategies the author presents. They have converted to billions of sales.
I absolutely adored the story the author relates of his brother who secured an Avon deal by asking the “power decision makers” one simple question. When you get to this part, you’ll know exactly what I mean! That Epic “Ah Ah” moment in action.
I’m in the process of preparing a TV show for pitch, so I feel completely blessed to have come across this book at the perfect time. The author touches on how these principles are also applied to the entertainment industry including pitching a television project ! The power of persuasion can work in every aspect of your life. Once this is mastered, the things we can manifest and accomplish are as abundant as the drops of water on the shores of the beautiful Pacific Ocean. ;-) (I’m learning !)
I have to use both hands and feet on this book! I give it 4 thumbs up and let me use my sons’ as well —8 thumbs up from my household !!!

This is gold!
I love that the author came up with the concept of "brain glue" and I was so interested in learning more that I listened to the whole audiobook within one day. I really enjoyed his perspective on behavioral marketing and his personal anecdotes here a there to explain concepts which made it super clear, fun and easy to understand.
The audiobook is incredibly engaging (probably why I could not put it down). I am building a company myself and I am now rethinking my marketing strategies based on James advice and ideas. I am looking forward to see what I can accomplish!
Recommended to anyone building their company and getting into marketing.

Relevant info and an easy listen!
The author highlighted many key dynamics of behavior and communication. Was first thrown by the repetition of some info but realized that was on purpose shortly thereafter. Enjoy!

Fantastic!
Absolutely fantastic book. This is a very engaging book with excellent content and narration. Contains many humorous anecdotes that keep the listener hooked that it is hard to put the book down without completing it. Glad to have found it just at the right time that I myself am in the process of starting a new business… the timing could have not been better. Definitely worth listening to it again as again as it is loaded with lots of valuable information. Highly recommend!!!
