I really enjoyed this book. From the start, I was very impressed with how concise and relevant the information was. So helpful!

I got this book because I have been having trouble sleeping lately and it did not disappoint! I loved the non pharmaceutical tools on tackling common sleep issues. This book doesn’t promise instant fixes but with some simple lifestyle changes I have already seen major improvements. If your struggling with your sleep, I recommend giving this book a try. It’s worth it!

I’ve read quite a few books on insomnia during sleepless nights, and I must say this audiobook is one of the best on the subject. It is comprehensive and provides a thorough understanding of insomnia, unraveling the complexities of sleep by breaking down its stages and cycles and explaining why sleep is essential for your body. The basics of good sleep are thoroughly explored, covering sleep hygiene, environmental factors, and lifestyle adjustments. I found the information helpful in synchronizing my mind and body for better sleep. The book also offers valuable insights into various nonmedicinal, drug-free interventions and tools designed to enhance sleep quality and comfort, presenting effective strategies for overcoming common sleep obstacles. As a health professional, I appreciated the natural approach, avoiding the ill and addictive effects of prescription drugs.

One part I really enjoyed focused on debunking myths and common misconceptions about insomnia. I learned a lot here. While I was aware of the various health consequences of insomnia, such as diabetes and heart disease, this material also explained why these issues occur. The information is presented clearly and organized, and the narrator's pleasant voice makes the listening experience enjoyable. The book wraps up by consolidating everything you have learned and provides clear direction on creating a personalized sleep plan that evolves with you, ensuring long-term health and well-being. I like that the author included a pdf of the manuscript along with the audiobook!! Sometimes you just want to go back and read a particular part!!

Simple, easy to follow strategies.

As a menopausal female, I can tell you insomnia is no joke. I was thrilled to listen to recommendations that might help me sleep more than four hours a night. The author does a great job of laying out easy to follow strategies to help wind down and prepare for sleep (the hardest part is breaking bad habits with screen time). The narrator’s voice was calming, making it easy to listen to before bed. I appreciated how the tips focused on improving both the quality and duration of sleep. This book is a great resource for anyone dealing with insomnia or just wanting to improve their sleep routine. Definitely recommend to my fellow insomniacs.
