Best book on the topic of suffering I’ve ever heard. Mr Tripp covers ever facet of the topic with respect for people & honor for Gods Word. And the format is perfect for small groups with discussion questions at the end of each chapter.

A must read for anyone who has or is suffering from loss … loss of spouse, through divorce, sickness or death; loss of job; loss of health; etc.

Like meeting with a wise and kind mentor

You can tell that the author has bathed in the Grace of God like only someone who has seen much sorrow can. His tenor is warm and kind, humble and patient but completely unafraid to tell it like it is. He speaks directly and frankly about sin without any hint of condemnation and every sentence points to Christ.

TRIPP HITS IT - DEAD ON EVERY TIME!

I recently restored my lost soul! One of my favorite daily devotional books by Dr. Paul David Tripp REALLY launched my dead soul. My story and new found journey/identity finds a lot of wisdom and guidance through ALL of his books. Each time I finish (and lucky me I still have a lot more to read), he reveals more and more layers, of which I thought I had control over, and it helps me restore WHO I AM, WHO I WAS, and WHO I WANT TO BE, and it is so magnificent!

Dr. Tripp has a a mysterious balance of good and evil series of developments, his or others, with one end result, GOD!

I love his style and his life lessons regarding our Heavenly Father. Through Jesus Christ, especially if you are a "go back to the beginning" and start over kind-a-newbie like me!

Very helpful for someone who is Christian and going through difficult circumstances. I would highly recommend it

I would like less or shorter stories.

I can not write well so I shouldn’t criticize at all. The book covers the subject very thoroughly and the ability to stop, rewind and listen again is valuable. I’m re-reading certain parts for better understanding. Thank you.

Whether you’re in the midst of suffering or not, it will invade your life at some point. This book has the message of hope, purpose, and life sustaining grace for everyone who suffers...simply one of the best books I’ve ever read on the topic!

SI INSIGHTFUL AND HELPFUL

Helped me reset my perspective street receiving ax brain tumor diagnosis. I had this book playing 24/7 with my ear buds in for sma whole week also, my ride and I’ve took a road trip and listened to the whim book together. For us, this book was a Godsend!

Hope for suffering

I got this book on Audible after hearing about Paul Tripp’s story of suffering. I too am dealing with life-altering, terminal disease. He was able to pull from my gray matter and heart what I’ve “talked” my whole life. But now it counts. Highly recommend for anyone suffering or for care givers of the suffering.

A Healthy Reminder of Life’s Circumstances and God’s Gift

Like Paul David Tripp, I’ve been through devastating physical times - mine due to seizures - and these valleys have brought me to Christ, and the Holy Spirit inside reminds me and brings me to better understanding each day. This book has been a great help as I’ve not been depressed but have always had low self-esteem. To know that God offers His grace in salvation humbles me more than a seizure does, and makes me love Him even more.

Bevan Greiner’s voice is amazing, with clear diction. And Paul David Tripp’s words are precise, cutting through my wayward thoughts to point me back to God’s Word and His Will. Well done, sir! I pray this book leads others to a better relationship with the Lord through prayer and His Word!
