Story
Six strangers arrive at the home of preeminent puzzle master Alexei Vasiliev for the reading of his will. Among them are the deceased's widow, who'd already begun divorce proceedings, a virologist troubled by actions in his past, and a convicted murderer on day release. The potential beneficiaries will split Vasiliev's $150M fortune if they participate in his last great work. The choice is simple: leave the house with nothing or continue in the hope of solving the six interconnecting escape rooms within this house.

Story
Lynn spent her life trying to escape the tourist trap of her hometown of Hell, Michigan. After a failed semester at college, she had no choice but to return home. Usually, she made a habit of hanging out in the woods around her mother’s home and avoiding the tourists. When a voice calls to her from the woods, she follows it. Hearing voices is nothing new to her but hearing one outside of her regulars isn’t. The voice leads her down a rabbit hole of the town’s secrets. West Gate Hospital was an urban legend she’d heard about since she was a kid. Except legends don’t leave buildings behind.

Publisher's summary
What secrets would you keep for the one you love?
Dulcie and Caine have been married for years. They're perfect together, unsuspecting and living in their suburban home with friendly neighbors and a satisfying routine.
Work. Eat. Sleep. Repeat.
Then, Dulcie witnesses the murder of a girl in her own home...by the hand of her husband. Her next move seems unspeakable; cover it up and forget it ever happened. And, of course, clean up his mess. She couldn't send her husband–and the love of her life–to jail.
The trouble is, Caine doesn't know about the sacrifice she made or the lengths she continues to go to keep his terrible habit hidden from everyone around them. Dulcie isn't interested in him finding out either.
Secrets are dangerous. While he keeps his second life a mystery to her, she keeps her clean up act hidden from him.
Too bad she's now tied up in her basement.
Too bad Caine decided that she was next.

Three months ago, Tansy Bloom quit monster hunting. Since then, she’s been trying to live a normal life (whatever that means), but ending up single, unemployed, and living on a boat outside her godfather’s pub definitely wasn’t part of the plan. So, when Tansy’s ex-husband – fellow monster hunter Rex Barclay – turns up like a bad penny and asks for her help with his latest investigation, Tansy reluctantly agrees. At first, the job appears to be a straightforward monster hunt – following a spate of large creature sightings, Rex believes a werewolf is on the loose in Norfolk.

It was 1970 in a defeated Rhode Island fishing town. Vietnam and Nixon dominated the national news. Both the near and distant future looked bleak. But they were five inseparable high school friends with something incredible in common: an unwavering resolve to look after each other no matter what hell life threw at them. And they were on a mission. The plan was simple: Go off the grid before they turned 18 to avoid the draft. They’d sell some grass, stack some cash, then head west and start a commune. What could possibly go wrong?

Good story.
I listened to this audiobook of a wife keeping her husband’s secret he’s a killer. And she’s next. I won’t go into further details as it’s spoil things for you. I think more could have been done to make this story more exciting. But overall it’s not too bad of a story.
