good story line

She was disappointing , for such a intelligent woman, she was incredibly stupid. One moment she very observant. Then she asks the stupidest questions......

Cordolians

This is another one of the Cordolians. He of course has a healthy respect for the General. I am glad this story has continued with a new series. Thought the story had ended but those guys with cool suits are still around. I will enjoy reading about the new characters and hopefully their connection to the old ones.

Another great Carven series novel

Once again I'm glad I purchased this series. This one was exciting and full of twist and turns. I truly became completely immersed in the story. I can't wait for book 2.

Fantastic Adventure!

I bought this book on the recent sale on Audible. This is my first book by Anna Carven and I want more! I found this book to a fantastic adventure. It’s very well written with action, intrigue, suspense, mystery and romance. I fell in love with this audiobook and had to buy the next book right away.
The narrator does a awesome job with the characters and the voices of each character making it easy to distinguish between the characters.
I felt like I was missing something then I found out that this is not the first book but in this particular set of books. I will have to check those out also.

Insanely intense action, fantastic story

Darkstar Mercenaries series sets off with a fiery BANG in Taming Chaos. Set in deep space, this new series builds on the Dark Planet Warrior series. One first division Kordolian warrior-now-turned-mercenary finds his mate in the last place he would have ever imagined. This story is intense with action, showcasing the brutal feral fierceness of the Kordolians, as well as their deep love and intense mate bond. Our heroine is strong, super smart, and generously curvy. I was on the edge of my seat through the whole book, and totally fell in love with these strong characters. The Audible version is great if you want to enrich your reading pleasure. The emotions leap off the page and each character has their own unfaltering voice.

Amazing book and so sexy narration

If you’re new to the Dark Star universe absolutely you need to read Dark Planet Warriors series first. The Dark Star mercenaries picks up where the original series ends. I loved the story and the chemistry between Persephone and Torin and the story was engaging and interesting with some wonderful spice thrown in. I adore the narrator and this book is so worth a try!

Best in the Series!

Love and tenderness is juxtaposed with danger, protection and a fearsome killing machine. This book moves quickly and keeps the reader engaged from the first word to the last.

Not bad but......

I wish the story was longer. It feels like the ending was rushed and cuts the last chapter.

"refuse to put down" til done

I was interrupted by work, but refused to put it down til the end. The narrator was awesome, never missing a beat, brought goose bumps in places. It has been a while since I have wanted to read (listen to) a book from cover to cover non-stop. Thank you for making the escape from reality so pleasurable.

pleasantly surprised and will get the series

Update - I had no idea this series was a sequel to the Dark Planet series. This 1st book is good as a stand alone, but the 2nd book has a lot of reference to the events that happened in the Dark Planet series so I would suggest listening to those books before starting this series.

I had this book sitting in my wish list for awhile and decided to finally give it a listen so I was very happy to have it be more than I expected. I was invested from the start and enjoyed the scifi world building and HEA story. Overall this is very light on the erotica side and more in-line with typical romance, however the intimate scenes are still very steamy

J.F. Harding did a great job with the narration and I never lost track of the different characters. Really look forward to his narration now.
