Solid entry in the series
Verity and Sydney are back in action, this time in Ireland. The 3 main storylines (finding Alec, locating the phosgene cannisters, and investigating the attack and suide of a young Irish woman) are all well balanced with equal importance and page time. It was a little annoying that the synopsis gives away the big revel about Alec, which did detract from the suspense and urgency Verity felt (as we already know what happens) but I still enjoyed the ending to that particular plotline. The investigation into the suicide was also good, except for the killer's reveal and motivation; felt like a stretch because Huber needed to tie up that loose end. Huber does very well of capturing the atmosphere of uncertainty and danger of Ireland in 1920. Can't wait for the next one
