Pretty Good

A good summary of concepts and ideas in this discipline. The "Alpha Audience" emphasis in the book has driven me to focus on it more going forward.

Great, useful tips for anyone new to social marketing

As a marketer who is new to social, I found this book incredibly helpful. Just when I thought I couldn’t possibly take any more notes, I took more. Very practical, well-thought-out ideas presented simply and clearly. There was a little repetitiveness toward the end, but I was willing to tolerate it because more new nuggets were never far off. Mark read it well and sounded like a regular person throughout, which was good. Definitely would recommend!

Didn't want to skip any sections....

What did you love best about The Content Code?

Solid useful content throughout the whole work. Usually I skip sections, but in this case I was afraid I would miss something useful. You'd think this guy was a content marketer or something!!

What other book might you compare The Content Code to and why?

I like non-fiction, real-world, how-to books (and apparently hyphenated words) that give you real road-maps and resources to help you succeed. Reminded me of Tom Peters' Thriving on Chaos with all of the real world stories of case studies and results but focused on Content Marketing.

Any additional comments?

I recently attended a webinar with Mark as the main presenter. Seems like a genuinely good guy with great experience and knowledge to share. Very helpful to a small biz guy like me looking for mentors and knowledge. He puts it all out there on the blog and in social media, but I still recommend spending a few bucks to buy the work to use as a resource/reference.

Brilliant Behaviors for Outrageous Revenue Ignition

The Content Code is pure brilliance. It is the greatest single source you can find for a 360 degree, top-to-bottom, inside-and-out, and every way in-between tactical approach to growing your business. Mark W. Schaefer's combination of humility, humor, and real-world practicality make this book an eye-opener for digital marketing new comers and grizzled veterans alike.

Jay Baer's Youtility is an exceptional work to help clients understand the fundamental philosophy that drives phenomenal content generation. The Content Code takes things a step further to offer practical steps that ensure your content "ignites" to build an "Alpha Audience" of fans, brand ambassadors, and - ultimately - paying customers.

Taken in its entirety, Schafer's masterful formula can make any marketer, entrepreneur, or executive a master craftsman of online influence and revenue ignition.

Truly Remarkable

To say marketers are full of fluff, unfounded optimism and compulsively herald the next new thing, regardless of if it comes true or not (Google+) would be a gross understatement. Luckily you won't find any of that here!

The candor and down to earth advice in this book can't be overstated. This is by far one of the better books you'll listen to all year. I recommend it enthusiastically!

Insightful and interesting

This book is fantastic for anyone involved in creating content. As a content marketer it was full of excellent insights that have helped me to deliver even better content.
I rated it so highly that I've even bought the hard copy !! I wanted to look back through certain chapters and re-read, because there's so much information in this book the first reading is just the beginning!
