The Dope Olympics is a novella about allowing an alternative to international sporting events that are overseen by WADA and local anti-doping agencies in which performance-enhancing drugs, gene therapy, and eugenics are not regulated but embraced. It's clear that WADA's reach has gone too far and that their control over international sports and the athletes' lives that participate in them is quite simply outdated and oppressive. Instead, an alternative approach is needed in which athletes are free to do whatever they, their coaches, and their physicians feel is necessary to prepare for them to give optimal performance in international competitions. The only requirement is they disclose what they have used and done to their bodies in preparation for competition. It's the twenty-first century, and science has impacted everyone's life on the planet in a positive manner. There's no reason that this shouldn't be embraced in sports and that audiences should be entertained and educated better than they are today. An alternative to the approach being used by the international community in regards to drug testing in sports is necessary because sports that are claimed to be clean aren't, and the incorporation of science to improve athletic performance is a much more contemporary approach in the world we live in today. Let the games begin!
