What if we all woke one day to discover that every act of generosity was followed, soon after, by an unexpected windfall? If theft or betrayal led to rapid calamity? Within minutes, the effects of instant karma would be felt by each one of us. Within hours it wouldn’t just be ordinary folks trying to figure out the new order—it would be everyone from the President down. Instant Karma is the story of that day. An extraordinary vision, and early adopters are quick to capitalise on the new dynamics while karma change deniers vehemently dig in their heels.

Publisher's summary
Isaac McGlynn has it all and he's taking it with him.
Isaac is cold, unfeeling, and wildly successful. After experiencing the loss of his mother and living his childhood in an orphanage, he gained everything as a businessman. Everything but emotion.
When Isaac is diagnosed with terminal cancer and realizes that his time on Earth is severely limited, he decides to take some of his money with him rather than leaving it all to John Hannebury (his best friend and business partner) or Susan Mitchell (his personal assistant and only other friend). He wants his position of power to continue on the other side.
In heaven, Isaac is given the chance to revisit pivotal moments in his life and see them through a different perspective. He visits the present and finds his friends miserable and nearly dysfunctional without him. Will Isaac finally come around and understand what love is through a final act of self-sacrifice?

Story
The modern audience hasn't had a chance to truly appreciate the unknowing dread that readers would have felt when reading Bram Stoker's original 1897 manuscript. Most modern productions employ campiness or sound effects to try to bring back that gothic tension, but we've tried something different. By returning to Stoker's original storytelling structure - a series of letters and journal entries voiced by Jonathan Harker, Dr. Van Helsing, and other characters - with an all-star cast of narrators, we've sought to recapture its originally intended horror and power.

The Bookworm Box is proud to present Two More Days, our second anthology installment. Much like the first installment, Two More Days is an exciting and unique listening experience with contributions from several of our charity's featured authors. Each author was given the same first sentence. Where they took that sentence was completely up to them.
