Publisher's summary

Carina Conte has had a crush on her brother Michael’s best friend, Max Gray, since she was a teenager back home in Italy. Now she’s earned her MBA and come to work at Michael’s new venture, America’s fastest-growing bakery empire. But some things never change: Her overprotective family still treats her like a child. With three drop-dead gorgeous siblings, she’s still the ugly duckling of the bunch. And Max, the company’s new CEO, still barely notices her.

Max knows Carina Conte is strictly off-limits, for the sake of his job and his friendship with Michael. But hot-blooded lust wins out at a conference when the two share a scorching one-night stand - and are busted by her mother! Now, forced by old-world Italian tradition into a marriage he’s not ready for, Max is miserable - and Carina is furious. Her new husband is about to realize that hell hath no fury like a woman transformed....

Greatest book in the series

with each book in the series it gets better and better. This by all means is the best one in the series. I love the raw affection and passion that was displayed in this one. I really do hope that there is more coming!!! my guilty pleasure for sure!!!!

D.........LISH......OUS

Ask yourself - what do you want from romance novels? Great characters that are involved in believable plots, passionate romances, some touching sexy love scenes and happy endings - right?

Well this book, and previous ones in the series, not only delivers the right criteria but delivers them by the bucket full. It could be a stand alone listen but there are references to other members of the family that the spell book has worked for and those characters all make their occasional appearances too.

Worth a credit? If you're a romance lover, want happy endings and are looking for a great listen to get lost in - then this book (along with the whole series) is an absolute MUST.

Not as Strong as the 1st Two But Still A Good Read

A sweet, traditional romance. Like the first two books in the series the premise is totally unbelievable. But the author's skill continues to elevate the pedestrian plot. My only real issue is that the two main characters were Italian but they both spoke in English voices. I don't mean just that the narrator was an American. I mean there was no attempt to show in the dialog that the characters were from anywhere but New Jersey, or Missouri or California.
I really like this narrator. But for this book, maybe someone else would be better.

This is definitely weaker than the previous two entries. But again, this writer's skill makes a fairly boilerplate contemporary romance a little less boilerplate.

Adorably hot!

--------> Story and Characters Review:

The story is about an MBA graduate Carina Conte reencountered with her childhood crush and now boss, Maximus Gray, the Billionaire and CEO of a huge bakery chain in Italy and now America. The story is hooking from the very beginning... I can't stop listening.

Having been abandoned by his dad and sort of adopted by the Conte family, Max is a bit part of Carina's life when she grew up. Having a big crush on him is like a taboo, a forbidden fruit.. i think that's what kept me on edge all the time. Now that's she all grown up, it keeps me guessing.. would he, would he not fall for her now? Would she give up? And yet the sexual tension between the two never eases. It consumed me.

The Heroine is very adorable i can definitely relate to her personality and her way of thinking. The Hero is the usual all male dominant exterior but with a prince charming material on the in side that all girls dream about... can't complain much about that now can i? hmm yum.... lol

When it comes to some sexual encounters though, i find them to be a bit tacky and unoriginal. I'm not saying i didn't enjoy it.. just a bit tacky at times. The sexual details that the Hero prefers and some of the language that he uses are a bit influenced by today's most "trendy" sexual enigma, Fifty Shades of Grey. And the Heroine can be a bit of a submissive.. hmmm wait.. submissive can b a strong word. Maybe she's obedient? Just in the bed room though. and also none of the heavy whipping canning bdsm stuff too.. so you can also cross that off. It's just a raw sexual experience with a hint of Dom and Sub.

But as soon as i pushed through the cliche part, and just go with the ride.. i found it to be super hot!!!!!!! loved it! The chemistry is overloaded. Cute! Adorable! Romantic! Wrapped up in one!!!!!!!!!

--------> Performance Review:

Her tone of voice is very soothing and her accents, (Although is not spot on italian), is very adorable. Her energy is exuding that i can almost feel like the story is enfolding in front of me. I love her feminine husky tone.. really sexy. (I'm no lesbian but i got a vivid imagination?) lol...

Love Forever

A Great love story. What was a mistake turned out to be the best mistake. Max is a great character, honor and a bit blind to his real feelings. Carina is amazing she grows as a person along with her sexuality. The narrator totally brings the characters to life.

Light and Sweet

I read romance to take a holiday from reality. Romance novels rarely have bad endings. The guy always gets the girl and visa-versa. Jennifer Probst writes uncomplicated relationships in the Marriage series. The characters are likable, the story is believable, and some comic relief. This book, ' The Marriage Mistake' is nice example.

Great listen!! Better then the other of the series

I've enjoyed the first one on the series, but this one for me was even better, very funny, sizzling interactions.
Loved the inner doubts of the main female character, although at the end it was a bit too much insecurity for my taste. But overall a great listen good story and the narrator did a pretty good job.
Give it a try

Great Great... Very Very Sexy!!!

I loved this book. I really like the first two book. This one did not disappoint. Micheal sister really grew up. I like how this book showed how Catlina grew up from child to woman and knew her mind. I love the fact that there was real smex in this book. However, the only thing I didn't like was after Max and Catlina got married, they kinda just accepted it... There should have been a bit more struggle of them getting married. Especially with the family, like Micheal accepting the marriage, but it was still a great book. I wonder if there will be another one....
