Very good book that kept me up way too late. Beautifully written characters and world build. Perfect mix of good vs evil type drama going on. I'm looking forward to book 2 cause the massive cliffhanger at the end.

I love the dark world Brandi Elise Szeker created. And I really loved the dual narration. Amy Hall and Lance Greenfield brought the story to life with perfect narration. It was so good I only took one star away from the Overall category because of the cliffhanger ending.

If you're looking for a sweet Romantic story to make your heart flutter, this is not the book for you. this is the story of dark obsessions built on violence and past trauma so deep that it shatters souls and splinters personalities. This book grasps you and holds you captive, then leaves you wanting more.

SO GOOD!!

New author for me. Loooooooooved this!! Didn't realize it was set in another world with a strict patriarchal society 🤮, and a few fantasy elements. The story, characters, setting, and even all the evil is wonderfully crafted. Dessin is the sh*t! I need the rest of this series adapted to audiobooks now! 😭

Pawn or Puppet, not sure who I liked more.

A heroine and anti-hero working together against evil. Great writing! Great narration! I loved this story. I want more, though I'm not crazy about the cliffhanger, but am still giving 5 stars all-around because of how well everything was done.

This is sooooo different.
Reminds me a bit of the joker and Harley Quinn
4 star duet narration.
Loved it, both narrators do a fabulous job.
The storyline is good, I’m lost and don’t really understand all of what’s going on but I find that thrilling.

The world once again is really screwed up. Everyone with trauma/slight mental Illness is put in an insane asylum and tormented.

Looking forward to book two.

Interesting book with great characters. Narrator Amy Hall is amazing at bringing it to life, and great contrast to Lance Greenfield’s interpretation. Super well done. Can’t wait for the next one!
