Story
Charlotte Bellows wrote The Definition of Beautiful between the ages of 15 and 17, in the wake of lockdown and in recovery from anorexia. In the tradition of Sylvia Plath in The Bell Jar and Françoise Sagan in Bonjour Tristesse, Bellows writes with deceptively straightforward urgency, pushing through society's constraints on the bodies and minds of girls and women to offer a story both achingly familiar and devastatingly new.

They seem correct, but they’re all misconceptions that aren’t entirely accurate. There’s much more to the story than you think. These magnificent 24 lectures are devoted to busting myths, clearing up confusion, and giving you scientific epiphanies that could change how you think about your everyday world.

What is Western Civilization? According to Professor Noble, it is "much more than human and political geography," encompassing myriad forms of political and institutional structures - from monarchies to participatory republics - and its own traditions of political discourse. It involves choices about who gets to participate in any given society and the ways in which societies have resolved the tension between individual self-interest and the common good.

your health is precious: listen to this physician
I have just finished listening to this for the second time. So glad I did as I had forgotten so much. For me it is a reinforcement of what I believe to be true but with some astonishing facts and research to back up the power of natural healing. Dr Guameri has a delightful style of presentation with a very serious message about alternatives to traditional allopathic medicine. I cannot recommend this enough. you will be surprised if not shocked at some of the messages in this book. for the sake of your health have a listen.

Well Presented and Informative
Would you listen to The Science of Natural Healing again? Why?
As a health educator I am always interested in medical information and though there was not a lot of new information for me, I was not disappointed in the content. The presenter is very methodical in her presentation and it is easy to understand her concepts. I do get a little weary of the New Age influence in current medical trends, and this was heavy on that, but it is the day we live in and people are certainly entitled to their own religious beliefs.

Very detailed and informative course!
Would you consider the audio edition of The Science of Natural Healing to be better than the print version?
You will get the audio edition which I prefer, because I was able to listen during my 1-1/2 hour commute to and from work every day. Any notes that I wanted to look up later could be found in the transcript PDF provided, so you get the best of both worlds. I really enjoyed this course and found the lecturer, Dr. Guarneri, very engaging and compassionate.

All good except for...
I think most of the advice is really good for each of our bodies but we must be careful with some of it. If all the humans in the planet would eat sock eyed salmon, we would destroy the species. And also, if people from the northern part of the globe start eating avocados or fruits which don’t grow in the north, it would cause a big problem with emissions.
