The usual result of a human taking a runaway semitruck head-on is a very sudden, very fast track to the pearly gates. But for one newly noncorporeal man, there's another option: become a dungeon. Feeling sorry for the desperate angel assigned to him, the man relents. Heck, if it doesn't work out, he can always chat with Saint Peter about it later. Next thing you know, he's a dungeon. Admittedly, a small run-down, somewhat unimpressive dungeon (more of a house, actually), but you gotta start somewhere, right?

Cute bunnies and beautiful butterflies became savage killing machines. Then the Invaders arrived with a single goal: to obtain ownership of this new habitable planet. War has raged ever since. None of this mattered much to Derek, aside from making living a little more perilous.

Publisher's summary
Thorn would love to have been able to take some time off, but there is no rest for the weary.
Urmag’Tal’s Puzzle is slated to open for the first time in 100 years, and considering his connection with it, Thorn can’t afford to be absent. Heading to the Temple of Man will throw him into the whirlpool of political intrigue that dominates the city of the Saints. Even as Thorn seeks to build alliances, he finds himself gaining enemies as the forces of the Council of Gods conspire against him.
Yet little is as it appears to be, and Thorn is in for the surprise of his life when he finally enters the puzzle. Mysterious townsfolk, Elemental Emperors, and fierce god beast foes that can stand toe to toe with Thorn are the least of his worries if he can’t discover the way to advance to the tenth tier.
Bloodline is the fifth book in the Tower Series, a GameLit/LitRPG series from Seth Ring, bestselling author of Battle Mage Farmer and The Titan Series, set in the world of Nova Terra and starring the unforgettable Thorn. Since then, she’s been trying to live a normal life (whatever that means), but ending up single, unemployed, and living on a boat outside her godfather’s pub definitely wasn’t part of the plan. So, when Tansy’s ex-husband – fellow monster hunter Rex Barclay – turns up like a bad penny and asks for her help with his latest investigation, Tansy reluctantly agrees. At first, the job appears to be a straightforward monster hunt – following a spate of large creature sightings, Rex believes a werewolf is on the loose in Norfolk.

Ascending to its peak is meant to give anyone whatever they wish for, but all Nate cares about is finding some way to use the skills that seem so useless in civilian life. And if he can prevent a magical wish being given to some maniac (because the Tower seems to love welcoming maniacs through its doors), then that’ll be a bonus. Besides, Nate has an edge.

This was a very good installment with a good mix of battles, stats, and story. I like where the story is going and so many new things keep becoming uncovered. Now the ending has me wanting the next book now and end of July is to faraway. Thorn and crew continue to impress and the whole arc with the temple of man was dope.
