About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

There's no such thing as the perfect murder. From the global No. 1 bestselling author and creator of the hit Netflix drama
Stay Close comes the thrilling new Sunday Times bestselling Myron Bolitar thriller.

'Where is Greg Downing?'

Sports Agent Myron Bolitar is in his new office on the top of a skyscraper in New York when two FBI agents ask him this very question.

The man they refer to is a top basketball player and Myron's former client and old rival. Greg's DNA, they tell him, has been found at the scene of a high-profile double-murder, and he is now their main suspect.

It can't be Greg, Myron tells the two agents: the reason he is Myron's 'former' client is because Greg is dead. He died three years ago of a heart attack. Myron went to his funeral and gave the eulogy.

So how can a man who's already dead be wanted for murder?

But the closer Myron and his sidekick Win get to the truth about Greg Downing, the more dangerous their world becomes. Secrets, lies, and a murderous conspiracy lie at the heart of Harlan Coben's blistering new bestseller.

Critic reviews

Harlan Coben never disappoints (Stephen King)
Harlan Coben once again proves to be compulsively readable. Witty, tense, sharp, and paced like a racecar, this one hums. And if you think the maestro of twists and turns has run out of surprises, just wait till you slam into Chapter 40 (Gregg Hurwitz)

Love Myron and Win’s characters

Lots of twists and turns in this one, but throughout the characters of Win and Myron stay true and remind me why I love this series. I wanted to keep listening but at the same time didn’t want it to finish.

disappointing

I went into this with an open mind but found a major plot hole central to the main mystery to be
very distracting. had an interesting premise, but needed more development to be satisfying.
