Story
More than 90 percent of dog owners consider their pets to be members of their family. But often, despite our best intentions, we are letting our dogs down by not giving them the guidance and direction they need. Unwanted behavior is the number-one reason dogs are relinquished to shelters and rescue groups. The key to training dogs effectively is first to understand why our dogs do what they do. And no one can address this more authoritatively than the diplomates of the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists.

Story
In Your Dog Is Your Mirror, dog trainer Kevin Behan proposes a radical new model for understanding canine behavior: a dog’s behavior and emotion, indeed its very cognition, are driven by our emotion. The dog doesn’t respond to its owner based on what the owner thinks, says, or does; it responds to what the owner feels. And in this way, dogs can actually put people back in touch with their own emotions.

lame & completely useless
This has nothing to do with training service dogs & contains really bad advice for dog owners in general. Even the person reading it doesn’t know how to pronounce some of the words. Don’t waste your $4.

the title is completely misleading.
This book is basically a beginners guide to finding a dog and the basic commands that EVERY dog should be taught. It does not even cover methods of teaching these commands, just a frequency. It discusses different types of available service dogs, but that's the extent. Don't waste your money if you already know dog basics.

Not helpful
This book is poorly organized and is all over the place. I think there was one or two nuggets of good info but not worth the whole book.

Worthless
Very outdated! There is no real training information, just old fashioned ideas that are not correct or realistic. This book mostly covers very basic, very poor and incomplete information. There’s not much discussion about actual psychiatric task ideas and training methods. Do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time on this garbage.
