Publisher's summary

There is one rule: join the Hunt or become the hunted…

Boyd Knight, Marine turned Vigil, has been formally invited to join the Wyld Hunt. To refuse is a death sentence. Participating might not be any safer.

As the Caller of the Hunt, it is up to the Queen of Oblivion to select targets worthy of the wrath of the Fae Court. Hunters from across the Wylds are unleashed like hounds to track down each target and exact bloody vengeance against those who have struck dark deals for money, fame, and power. But nothing is ever as straightforward as it seems, and cheating, murder, and treachery are all just a part of the rules of decorum when it comes to the Hunt.

Can Boyd navigate the perilous politics of the Fae Courts and survive the murderous, inhuman nobles looking for any excuse to execute him?

From James A. Hunter—bestselling author of Rogue Dungeon, and the Completionist Chronicles Expanded Universe—comes a shoot-'em-up LitRPG fantasy series brimming with spells, upgrades, guns, and monsters!

Another excellent entry.

I was amazed about this book. It was the right length, good action, and well paced. This might have been the best performance I've heard from Luke Daniel's in a while. Overall, a 5 out 5!

The correctness of the military mind is outstanding.

loved the fact that Cal is so Tennessee, but smart is what they really are like.

Luke's performance is amazing!

The different characters, their speech pattern, etc. were brought to life by Luke - so many different characters to keep track of!

Solid

This book is just as good as the first two, a little short however, I'd rather that than the wait for another year for the second half. Excellent writing and fantastic reading.

Like getting an appetizer when you order an entree

Look, I love this story/series. The problem is that the story is too short. My cynicism makes me wonder if the author wanted to cut down the length in order to sell more books since “Vigil’s Wraith” comes out in only two months. So instead of one full sized book, we’ll get two mini books at full price.

it was so obvious you had to kill the priest

it would have been better if he hesitated and they got him instead of him thinking it was the girl. it was obvious that it was the priest. The priest even admitted to it. it was really stupid
