Publisher's summary

A town of magic and danger, where what one dons becomes who they are.

A desperate priestess in another world calling for a champion, only to receive an unstoppable monster.

A night of joy and giving, of grudges and combat, all as the winter snow falls.

Between grand adventures, what mishaps may occur in the world of the Villains' Code? These are the smaller selections, short sagas within the greater story.

These are the Villains' Vignettes.

holiday dnd hijinks

I'd been looking forward to the story of Ivan being summoned to another world since he mentioned the story to tori, and it didn't disappoint. The surprise was that that wasn't my favourite story from this. definitely recommend

Great stand alone stories

I love hearing some of the other things these characters are getting up to. Great dynamics as always.

Awesome as always.

Drew Hayes is always superb. The narrator is excellent, with clearly defined voices per role - and is also thankfully the same narrator as the main series.

SPOILERS

This 2.5 is exactly what I needed between book 2 and waiting for 3. The three stories are so good! The 1st and 3rd had extremely satisfying endings. The 2nd is still making me crazy.

always a treat

while my true favorites by Drew Hayes are his Fred the Vampire Accountant stories, the Villians Code stories are a close second. i look forward to the second full book.

Love the holiday life of the Meta’s

It’s a great short story set up, that I have a feeling will add more characters to the future books.

Cute, funny, easy to read.

A nice addition to the series, but repetitive.

I have loved this series so far, and I liked the additions to it that these short stories brought. The idea of the Halloween town was very cool, and it helped bring out that tension between Tori and her super hero friends.

The biggest issue I had with this was that all three stories could be summed up as "Fornax is strong." It was neat, just a little bit repetitive for me.

Still, if you have like the story so far, this is a great addition. Recommended.

Man this was good.

This book started off with a bang, and now I’m ready for the next one to drop.
