Publisher's summary

A suicidal quest into the Umbral Depths.

Major Voria stands ready to accept the cost for her actions at Marid. Stripped of command and resources, Voria must find a ship and rally a crew. Somewhere within the Umbral Depths lays a hidden world, a world that the dead god, Marid, intended her to find.

Aran faces a choice. Halt his war mage training and, in the process, give up clues to his past, or abandon Voria. Aran sacrifices everything to follow Voria on a suicidal quest into the one place where even gods fear to tread.

On a bleak world in the deepest darkness lays an object of enormous power, one that could turn the tide of the war against Krox. But Voria isn't the only one seeking the weapon. The great Void Wyrm Khalahk has vowed to hunt Voria and will see her dead, even if it means following her into the Umbral Depths themselves.

All while the dreadlord, Nebiat, makes herself at home on Shaya, binding the souls of its leaders.

Great second.

A great second installment to the series with good character growth throughout all of the cast. Already getting the third and looking forward to where the story takes our MCs next.

great sequal

The story definitely keeps you on your toes. I like how the characters have progressed and the little lessons pay off later in the story. Chris Fox uses everything in the story for good use. If you read tech mage this is a good follow up and tou won't be disappointed.

GOOD.

Most enjoyable. Major Voria and Aran and the rest of their team head in the Umbral World to learn the truth. Lots of action and revelation. Aran learns more about his past. Exciting adventure. Looking forward to the next book ASAP. THE

Great!

My wife and I both agree that this series should become a tv show of some sort.

this is a good book, you should buy it...seriously

I don't generally write reviewes for books. but this one was entertaining enough to warrant it. this is like the 17th, or something like that, from this author and he keeps getting better with every release. nothing he writes is Shakespeare, but give it time and ine day, he will.

Wow....

This was and excellent listen. Short for sure but excellent non the less. I would recommend the series to anyone looking for a ScyFi fantasy series to dive in to. Good characters, good story and devious vilians.

I loved Listening to book 2 of the Magitech series

I loved Listening to book 2 of the Magitech series. I can't wait to dive into book 3. The narrator is good at his craft, using different voices for the characters. The writing is descriptive because I was able to visualize the story and characters and the action. The book also had a good flow to it. Each chapter was like eating potato chips. I could not eat just one.

Great continuation of the Magitech Chronicles

Book two of the Magitech Chronicles is a great continuation of the story, so if you haven’t listened to book one yet, you probably won’t get all the backstory or character introductions. That being said, I really enjoyed listening to book 2. It’s fun to watch the characters grow stronger, and I’m finding myself getting more attached to all of them, but Sgt Cruz is definitely still my favorite. The narrator does an amazing job with this book as well. He does an especially great job voicing dragons. If you’re a fan of Dragons, Power suits, and magic, then this book is definitely worth a listen. The author gifted me a copy of this book with no expectation of me posting a review. This review is my unbiased opinion.

Loved it

Great combination of magic, tech, and character building. Few other series I've read are as entertaining or as unique.
