Publisher's summary
Ten excited co-workers arrive at the beautiful Avondale Resort on a remote island in the middle of the Caribbean, having been told that they are being rewarded for their hard work and productivity. But their relaxing tropical getaway soon turns into a murderous nightmare.
After an extravagant first night dinner, the guests retire to their lavish suites only to be awakened by an ear-splitting bang. They rush to the smoking parlor to find Jordan, the company’s intern, dead - a massive hole in his chest. Giles, the consummate English butler who seems to be in charge, announces that they must solve the crime or be the next victim.
The killer, who has booby-trapped the island and cut off phone and Internet connections, is hiding among them. Is it the HR representative with a penchant for Bloody Marys, the twenty-two-year-old claims processor with the purity ring, or perhaps the head chef of the company cafeteria? The killer plays with their minds, inviting them to explore the beautiful resort, from the infinity pool with the high dive to the white sand beach complete with jet skis and snorkel gear.
Anthony E. Zuiker is the creator and executive producer of the CSI franchise, which includes CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami, and CSI: NY. His mystery reality show, Whodunnit?, is his first foray into unscripted television. He lives in Los Angeles with his three children and his wife, Michelle.
Whodunnit? Murder on Mystery Island is performed by the show's host/butler, accomplished narrator Gildart Jackson.

Story
A night spent sleeping on dirt and leaves is not how Claire Matchett expected to spend her vacation. She thought this would be a break. A week of hiking and hot tubs with two other couple friends. Then Claire’s minivan breaks down on a lonely dirt road. With no cell reception, the group has no choice but to hike the rest of the way to their hotel. But it turns out the woods aren’t as easy to navigate as they thought. Hours later, they are lost. Hopelessly lost. And as they navigate deeper into the woods, the members of their party are struck down mysteriously one by one.

During the languid days of the Christmas break, a group of 30-something friends from Oxford meets to welcome in the New Year together, a tradition they began as students 10 years ago. For this vacation, they’ve chosen an idyllic and isolated estate in the Scottish Highlands - the perfect place to get away and unwind by themselves. They arrive on December 30, just before a historic blizzard seals the lodge off from the outside world. Two days later, on New Year’s Day, one of them is dead.

When editor Susan Ryeland is given the manuscript of Alan Conway's latest novel, she has no reason to think it will be much different from any of his others. After working with the best-selling crime writer for years, she's intimately familiar with his detective, Atticus Pünd, who solves mysteries disturbing sleepy English villages. An homage to queens of classic British crime such as Agatha Christie and Dorothy Sayers, Alan's traditional formula has proved hugely successful.

Everyone in my family has killed someone. Some of us, the high achievers, have killed more than once. I’m not trying to be dramatic, but it is the truth. Some of us are good, others are bad, and some just unfortunate. I’m Ernest Cunningham. Call me Ern or Ernie. I wish I’d killed whoever decided our family reunion should be at a ski resort, but it’s a little more complicated than that.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Great Mystery
I love mysteries and this is a favorite. I love this author's work on the CSI TV series and his book was just as entertaining. This mystery is a game show of crimes where the ultimate prize is your survival.
The narrator is excellent taking the mind through every scene; helping the listener see every piece of evidence.
I guessed the killer before the last few chapters.

Only one issue.
My only issue is that the storyteller keeps referencing a murder game that isn't part of the book series (or at least that I can find).

Just as good as the TV show and the 1st book
I listened to the first book and I loved it. I started the second and they were talking about the TV show so I watched it and loved it. So I listened to this book and I loved it. I highly recommend the whodunnit series to anyone that likes clue types books and TV show.

Predictable
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The ending was kinda Predictable. I am starting to think that the Writer Hates Women. In the Show, the Killer was a Woman and so forth and so on.
What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)
Very Predictable.
Have you listened to any of Gildart Jackson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Yes, Almost Identical to the First Whodunnit Book.
Was Free: Whodunnit? Murder on Mystery Island worth the listening time?
Yes, even though it was Predictable. Still a Fun book.
Any additional comments?
Believe it or not, I would actually listen to another one if he wrote a Book 3. Just Do something different with the Ending Plot, Like make it out to be Giles and he Finally Snapped, or make it a Guy because he had an actual Tie with the victims other than he is just a psycho that kills a bunch of random Strangers and then willingly gives himself up at the end. Thank You

A rip roaring yarn
If you could sum up Free: Whodunnit? Murder on Mystery Island in three words, what would they be?
Suspenseful nail biter
What did you like best about this story?
With each murder I was on the edge of my seat. Oddly enough I didn't need to know whodunnit, I was more concerned with who would be next and how they would be killed.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Gildart Jackson?
I wasn't too thrilled with his American standard accents. Too stereotypical and cartoonish in some instances.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Will you be next?
Any additional comments?
I'm hooked on the series and want more! When I saw it was free I was skeptical. But the book didn't disappoint.

Read the description before buying...
This book is EXACTLY what it claims to be, and it's fun. It does not claim to be an epic saga or high-brow literature.

Free Entertainment!
I watched the Whodunnit?: Murder in Rue Manor TV show and read the previous book Murder in Mystery Manor which makes picking this book up really easy. I enjoyed this book a little bit more than I did the previous one - I was able to follow/ distinguish between the characters more. The only criticism I had was that the last challenge ended a bit oddly- the reveal of the killer didn't provide the same level of suspense/ anticipation as the previous book. Yes, I would read more in this series.
As with the first book in this series, Gildart Jackson provides a spectacular performance.
