About this listen

There’s no place like home.

Especially not for Ava Carson. She’s traveled the world, and always comes back to Landing.

Maybe it’s the weather, the small town, or the people that make her feel that way. Or perhaps it’s just one person and his family.

Tate Westwood.

Best friends with his sister, Tate’s family has become hers. That’s why she knows she’ll never be able to have him the way she wants. She’s nothing more than an annoying little sister to him.

But she promised herself if she could have him for just one night, she’d move on.

As the head of marketing and product development at the Westwood Company, nobody questions Tate’s driven mindset.

Burying himself in work isn’t just about being a workaholic. The truth is, he’s spent years ignoring Ava’s flirtation. He’d never stand in the way of her chasing her dreams.

But when Ava attempts to seduce him on the dancefloor at his oldest brother’s wedding, tempting him with her gorgeous body and the promise of a single night, Tate is powerless to resist her.

But with just one taste, Tate knows there’s no turning back. The problem is going to be convincing her that she’s all he’s ever wanted.

Tate & Ava took mutual pining to a new level!

I have loved every bit of this new series by AK Evans, but Wild Heart is hands down my favorite of the Westwoods. The angst and mutual pining were top tier.

Ava kept putting herself and her feelings out there, only to be turned down by Tate time and time again. Tate was scared of hurting her and the relationship she had with his sister and family, but he needn't worry at all because they all loved her, and eventually them together.

I was worried Tate and Ava were never going to be on the same page. When they finally opened up to each other about all the years they wanted the other, and their fears, they were both all in and unstoppable.

Their chemistry was off the charts and Troy Duran & Vanessa Edwin did an amazing job bringing their emotions, angst, and love to life. I absolutely loved this audiobook and can't recommend it enough.

Oh, the back and forth!!!!

Wild Heart is book 3 of AK Evan’s Westwood Series and takes us back to Landing with Tate and Ava.

I love listening to Troy Duran and him being Tate’s character, gives me a different side of him, not bad but helps to put him in Tate’s shoes! Vanessa Edwin does such a great job as Ava. These 2 together give us the right vibes and makes this book a must listen.

Tropes:
• Best friends broth
• Opposites attract
• Found family
• Communication issues

Miscommunication is the best description I can come up with to describe both Ava and Tate! The banter and back and forth between these to will have you frustrated and laughing.

I can’t wait to see what is next from A.K. Evans and the Westwoods!

4.5 out of 5 stars!

Ava Carson's world fell apart in the blink of an eye. If not for her best friend Ivy and Ivy's brother Tate, she may have just given up at 16. The Westwoods welcomed her into their fold and made her feel loved. They taught her how to love. It was the moment that Tate decided to stay for Ava's recital that changed the trajectory of their future. Ava made her feelings known time and again. But something always stopped Tate. She was Ivy's best friend, too young, too talented, his family treated her as one of them. But as the years passed, it was evident that Ava and Tate were meant to be together. Once they got over themselves, they were able to see how much better they were together than apart.

Vanessa Edwin and Troy Duran brought this story to life. The banter, angst, and love among the Westwoods was palpable through their gifts of storytelling.

The Westwoods is my favorite series...

The Westwoods is my favorite series of A.K.'s so far, I don't know what it is, but I just love it and am so glad she decided to turn the awesome story of the parents into more. Tate and Ava's story was a little different, with her being Ivy's best friend and a part of the Westwood world for years. My goodness the angst and drama these two put themselves and readers through because they couldn't just talk at first! Sigh. But what's a story without putting readers through some sort of stress and upheaval, right? Haha. Luckily, they sorted theirselves and made it to the same page finally so they could get their long time coming HEA. Narration brought the characters to life

Emotional Rollercoaster

Tate & Ava…ya'll did me IN! Friends to Lovers and Found Family happen to be two of my favorite tropes. The lack of communication between these two truly drove me to the point of insanity, but I love each of them so much I couldn't stop reading. The whole Westwood family is AMAZING and that really does make you empathize with Ava's feelings of not wanting to risk losing them. I spent many pages bouncing between being irritated with Ava or Tate, only to feel such deep sympathy for them a few pages over. Evans has a way of making even some of your least enjoyable tropes (for me, the miscommunication factor) such a heartwarming, enjoyable read. While it was so heartbreaking to know they had stayed away from each other for so long when it never had to be that way, it was even more heartwarming to see them in the end. So much angst and emotions in this slow burn story, but it was SO worth it in the end. I have read every book Evans has published, some more than once, and I'm always blown away at how unique and different each story line is. Her creativity is unmatched! I've long been a fan of all her suspense based romances, but this family series has stolen my heart. I cannot forget the narrators!! I swear Evans books always get the best of the best. The compatibility and talent of each duo is incredible and really brings so much life and added emotion to the stories.

Ava and Tate

Ava and Tate have loved each other since she was fifteen. Because of the age difference, Ava's dreams of being a famous dancer, and his sister's best friend, Tate resisted even though Ava flirted with him constantly. Until one night. This series keeps getting better with every book. The narrators are spot on and the story well told and engaging.

Super Angsty with Lots of Heart!

Wild Heart is super angsty and highly emotional. Tate and Ava are a dynamic duo who each harbor incredible emotion and feel things so deeply while at the same time they both are terrible at communicating their feelings verbally, creating so much angst and drama all because they don’t use their words. The interplay between these two is amazing, and I absolutely adored their flirty and fun banter during the good times, while I found myself watching talking to them when they did things that irritated me. All signs of a very well-written novel—i was deeply engaged from start to finish. I LOVED Liam’s role in this novel; getting to know him on a deeper level through his group interactions with the others was phenomenal and it makes me so desirous of his book!!!

The narrators did an amazing job of bringing this world to life through their inflection, emotion, and overall performances. Their voices are easy to listen to, and I loved how they each handled voicing their counterparts verbal communication during their chapters. Their intensity and vibes flowed through the speakers and made this book so much fun to listen to!

A wonderful addition to the series

We are back with the Westwoods and this time the story belongs to Tate Westwood.
Tate, at times overly driven, is the head of marketing for the family company.
Ava Carson is his younger sister’s best friend.
She’s had a secret crush on him forever not knowing the stoic man also was attracted to her.
But getting together could be a disaster and the end of friendships.
After years of this attraction, all Ava wants is one night with Tate. The opportunity arises. But will one night be enough for them?
The story was filled with miscommunications , heartbreaks . It’s also a story about family, and taking chances in love.
I enjoyed the book but it always seems that the audiobooks bring the stories to life. That was the case with this one and the narrations of Troy duran and Vanessa Edwin.
Another winner in the series.
I was entrusted a copy of this audiobook. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
