Publisher's summary

Still tormented by his recent captivity, Alpha Pack commander Nick Westfall isn't sure he's fit to lead - especially when he meets the one woman he can't claim without reliving the torture he endured at the hands of a rogue vampire. Vampire princess Calla Shaw has seen her own share of heartbreak, but she can tell that the wild attraction she and Nick feel for each other could turn into something significant - if only he'd let it. But Calla isn't about to give up on her mate without a fight. Time is running out, not only for Nick to claim his mate, but for Calla and her coven. A vampire war is on the horizon, one the Alpha Pack can't hope to win if their leader can't pull himself back from the abyss.

Never switch narrators mid series

My only complaint was switching the narrators. Marguerite Gavin is not bad as a narrator it's just that by book 6 you are invested in the characters and to have their voices changed distracts from the story. Other than that all the books are great stories to hear.

Not the best. Not the worst.

Any additional comments?

This book was weaker in content than the rest of the series, but still a good read.

WRONG NARRATOR.. NEEEDED KRISTEN POTTER.

Would you try another book from J. D. Tyler and/or Marguerite Gavin?

J.D. Tyler yes. Marguerite Gavin no

Who was your favorite character and why?

All of them. Kirsten Potter had established these characters in all the previous books in this series..this is why the narrator was so awful...she had no concept of how the characters had been developed and so her voice portrayls did not fit the story concept. The storyline as always was great and in keeping w/the series.

How could the performance have been better?

KRISTEN POTTER IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE WHAT COULD AND WOULD HAVE MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. Anytime you see her as the narrator, the narration will always be character driven and each of them will have their own distinct voices. Look up her name and get the different Highlander series she narrates, by Maya Banks.....Rowan Keats. Dianne Duvall has a series narrated by her that is great.

Was Wolf's Fall worth the listening time?

NO....this one has to be read as oppose to audible listening alone. All the others in this series is so worth the credit.....and listening time because of Kirsten Potter

Any additional comments?

Read ALL the comments above and you will have happy reading and listening worthy of investment...

At least a 3.5 out of 5.0....

Is there anything you would change about this book?

Maybe it's me... but the story for this pair of mates did not send that jolt I felt as in the previous books... I felt that Nick and Calla were rushed to be mated. Yes, they has some sizzling moments, but alot of their inner struggles & how they overcame them was left out....I mean when Nick finally told Calla that he loved her, my reaction was: "What?Wait! How did that happen?" Honestly, what was happening around them was more entertaining than their story.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

LOVED: When Blue came to the rescue and changed things as we (the readers) have known based on the prior book...Little by little I think I can understand why every female in past books have just downright drooled over Blue.....

HATED: The hunters...I would have hoped that introducing hunters would have given life to an epic battle of humans vs supernatural beings...but sadly, the hunters were more like pawns to be used left and right without a purpose....

Would you listen to another book narrated by Marguerite Gavin?

For myself M.G. is not the worst narrator ever but her style was just not compatible with Kirsten Potter's style. In truth, I picked up this listen keeping an open mind because I was really hooked on this series and wanted to hear Nick's story. I would give M.G. another shot if she has a series narrator or a lone-standing book....

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

In my opinion I think if this was a movie it would be a "C-list" movie.....One of those that look pretty good to watch but only when there is absolutely nothing else out.

Any additional comments?

It's hard to say not worth a credit because this is book 6 into the series...If you are this far into the listens then you are hooked & probably are willing to say 'what the heck' even with the change in narrators...I opted to purchase this since it was on sale :)

Sorry, but the narrator messed this book up!

The narrator ruined the book for me. I listened to the first 5 and was on the fence about the narrator then the 6th book had a change in narrator and her voice was to feminine for the male roles. it seemed as though she was talking through her nose. there was no inflection at points of interest and tense moments didn't get conveyed. YUK..... barely made it through....

the story line was good though.... followed the path of the others. ...

Disappointed in the...

New voice. I love these books and the stories are awesome but I will have to get the books because I can't listen to this voice.

New narrator

The new narrator kind of threw me for a loop. This book was different and seemed longer than others due to the constant turmoil the main characters were in. It seemed like problem after problem after problem. The final conflict was really good and I like the conclusion. I’m excited for the next book.

Loving this series!

What made the experience of listening to Wolf's Fall the most enjoyable?

I've been waiting for the next installment of this story. So far I've not been disappointed.

What did you like best about this story?

I love hearing how this alpha pack is coming together and going through life together.

What about Marguerite Gavin’s performance did you like?

I can't remember how she was, I just remember the story. I do know that the other books were read by Kirsten Potter, and I love her work.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Not really.

I enjoyed the story and narrator

I waited for Nick's story while it did feel a bit rushed and missed a few relationships.. i.e with he and is daughter and brother the story overall was good. Though his character did not seem as strong as the other books, previously Nick seemed a little more untouchable and badass, he was portrayed a little weaker. He just seemed to stumble and be disorganized.

The vampires are really weak and needy. They seemed not to be able to take care of anything on their own and need help from everyone. Not use to vamps being so human like with so many weaknesses that they are continuously getting beat up by human hunters.

Hammer aka "John" new personality seemed to come from no where. I liked his silent and deadly demeanor now he just seemed like chatty patty. Not sure I like his new life change.

Great story, narrator overly dramatic at times

I really like this series, but this narrator was so melodramatic and was very distracting during the exciting parts. She was good during the rest.
