In this episode, Dr. Butler shares with us the major findings from the recent EMPACT-MI clinical trial and his perspective on the future of heart failure therapies. The EMPACT-MI trial investigated whether a medicine called empagliflozin, a SGLT2 inhibitor, helps to lower the risk of heart failure and death in people had experienced a heart attack (myocardial infarction).
