• FMF #59: No Longer a Victim with Vin Infante
    Jun 18 2024
Creating the life you want to live requires shifting away from a victim mentality and taking active control of your destiny. You are either passively experiencing life or consciously creating it, and by embracing the latter, you empower yourself to shape your future according to your dreams and aspirations. In this thought-provoking episode, we are joined by Vin Infante, a Licensed Psychotherapist, Mental Performance Coach, and Keynote Speaker on a mission to impact 1 billion lives. Vin shares his personal journey with victimhood, underscoring that the outcomes in our lives aren’t determined by what happens around us; instead, they’re shaped by our responses to those events. Our responses create a chain reaction that ultimately shapes the outcomes.Vin also explores how to shift from a victim mentality and offers practical advice on achieving self-mastery. He breaks down the five key aspects of self-mastery: thoughts, language, behaviors, actions, and emotions, illustrating how each component plays a vital role in creating meaningful change. As the conversation unfolds, he discusses the significance of language and its impact on the subconscious mind. He explains why Vin hates the word try, highlighting that ‘trying’ signifies a lack of decision, accountability, and responsibility. Additionally, he encourages listeners to challenge their thoughts for personal growth and empowerment. This episode is a guide for anyone seeking to shift their mindset, take control of their life, and achieve personal mastery.Quote Of The Day:“You are either passively experiencing life or consciously creating it.” ~Vin InfanteTimestamp:[02:02] Who is Vin Infante?[03:07] Quote of the day: “You are either passively experiencing life or consciously creating it.” ~Vin Infante[04:25] Vin’s experience with victimhood[09:07] How to shift out of a victim mentality[13:09] “Knowledge is not power; it is potential power. • FMF #55: Action Creates Clarity w/ Heather Parady
    Apr 12 2024
Fifteen Minute Fridays episode #55 Heather Parady.Sadly, there are so many people with ideas that could positively impact many people but fail to do so because they fail to have the balls to start. According to Heather, today's episode guest, action creates clarity; projects usually reveal themselves by honoring them through starting. Heather is a mental health therapist turned online entrepreneur who helps outside-the-box leaders bring their services online to scale their impact. She has hosted multiple top-ranking shows and conducted over a thousand interviews. She has been featured in Forbes, Pop-Sugar, and, most importantly, the front of her mom’s refrigerator.Heather asserts that you need to start where you are and with what you have instead of fixating on the end goal. One needs to work backward by asking oneself what one small thing can do today with what one currently has. The productive/creative process is disciplined, and one needs to love what one does because genuine passion drives commitment and consistency. This disciplined process favors even a small commitment of five minutes daily instead of sporadic bursts of motivation. To be productive, one has to set restrictions. These restrictions could range from having to do something towards your daily goal for five minutes. In the case of Heather, she has a seat whereby she puts the restriction of not getting up until she has done what needs to be done. In case you are a creative who does not know where to start, Heather advices that finding your voice starts with using your voice.Tune in and learn!Watch The Episode on Youtube: https://youtu.be/UNeEURRrXY8Quote Of The Day:“Action creates clarity." ~Heather ParadyTimestamp:[01:26] Learning from Observation[05:31] Uncovering Clarity Through Action[06:56] Finding Voice Through Action[09:23] Simplifying Complex Ideas[10:43] Disciplined Ideation Process[12:32] Editing Process and Content Quality[13:28] Taking Action with Available Resources[15:21] Overcoming Inaction[16:20] Embracing Creative RestrictionsKey Takeaways: • “There are hints given to us only through action.” ~ Heather Parady [04:32]• “The secret is not in these tools, the secret is your own balls.” ~ Heather Parady [14:27]• What is one thing you can do today to move closer to your objective? • FMF #54: Discovering Uniqueness by Flaunting Weakness w/ David Rendall
    Mar 29 2024
Fifteen Minute Fridays episode #54 David Rendall.Rendall offers a refreshing perspective in a world obsessed with self-improvement: instead of trying to change ourselves, we should focus on changing our environment. He argues that success isn't about altering who we are but finding the right circumstances to thrive. David Rendall has spent the last twenty years speaking across every inhabited continent to clients like the US Air Force, Australian Government, and Fortune 500 companies, including Microsoft and AT&T. Former professor and stand-up comedian. David has also authored multiple books, including "Pink Goldfish" and "The Freak Factor."Rendall challenges the conventional wisdom that highlights our flaws and encourages us to fix them. Instead, he suggests embracing our weaknesses as unique attributes that can be leveraged for success. By conforming to societal expectations of fixing our flaws, we limit ourselves, but by embracing our true selves, we unlock our full potential. This counterintuitive approach encourages us to view our perceived weaknesses as strengths in different contexts. For instance, being a perfectionist may have negative connotations, but it also indicates a dedication to excellence that can be invaluable in certain situations. Rendall's message is clear: we don't need to change who we are; we need to find environments that appreciate and amplify our strengths. Doing so empowers us and creates opportunities for others to recognize and celebrate their unique qualities.Tune in and learn!Watch The Episode on Youtube: https://youtu.be/xpqGYLNTwa8Quote Of The Day:“We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside of us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch..” ~E.E.
